My little guy will be two at the end of this month. He loves the Your Baby Can Read videos and is doing great with reading. He also knows all of the letters and letter sounds thanks to The Letter Factory video from Leap Frog. The problem is now he wants me to write letters and words for him for hours on end! If he gets hold of a piece of paper and writing implement I'm finished! He stands there repeating "A-A-A-A-A-A" in the volume and pitch that can only be achieved by a 2 yr old! If I give in to him he immediately thinks of another letter or worse wants the same letter again and again. My question is does any one know of a way to encourage him to do the writing? His fine motor skills are great and he has a good pencil grasp but he seems to lack the motivation when he knows his letters never look like they are supposed to.
