My daughter will be 2 this coming week, July 2nd. I want to start potty training. We have the potty, she sits on it, but not for long and sometimes she doesn't want to at all. Do the Potty training pants that make them feel cool when they pee really work?? Should I try potty pants till she gets good at it during the day? Any good advice welcome please!

my daughter would sit there forever and not do a thing , so i peed with her. I let her hear mine, she was so happy she wanted to do the same, then BOOM tinkle!

With my step daughter. We would sit her one the potty and hr after she had a full drink and get her use to the little potty. If she would actually go into the pot than we would give her a cookie or something special to show she did good. It took a while to get her fully trained but it did help. Good luck!!

I went thru potty training 2 different ways with my girls. The first way took like a year til she was fully potty trained. That was letting her get use to the potty and doing the training pants from the age of 2. My second one was a little more willing then my first. Instead of the training pants... I waited til she was dry after nap and long periods of time and started sitting her on the potty. I went right into underwear with her... She sometimes problems but all and all she is potty trained. She might pee herself like every couple weeks if that. Hope that helps.

My suggestion is to start her off slow. letting her sit on the potty is good because she'll get comfortable doing it. Try having her do it often, even after she has a wet diaper or pull-up. She'll start to understand what the potty is for. I've even heard to let her go with you when you have to use the restroom so she can so you doing it too. When you think she's comfortable with the potty, you can graduate her to short periods of time where she's only wearing big girl undies. maybe an hour at a time. I took these baby steps with my son and eventually went cold turkey on the diapers. he was maybe 2 1/2 when I took him off for the full day. Now he is 3 1/2 and is fully trained. Hope this helps!
