Be careful as many people are sensitive to sodium lauryl sulfate, which is formaldehyde. Yes, it's in all detergents, even those free of perfume and dye. Try something like soap nuts. It sounds weird, but they work really well and they are allergen free.

My daughter has just been diagnosed too. We use two kinds. Tide has a free and clear. It comes in a white bottle. And then if you go to Costco they have the Kirkland brand - also a free and clear. I have heard Dreft is a good one too but I have not looked into it.

Laundry Soap - Anything that is perfume free and dye free. Babies R Us has Dreft soap and stain treatment. I later used All Free & Clear and recently changed to Tide Free for Sensitve Skin. They can be found at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.
