Are there any stay-at-home mommy play date clubs?

Hello fellow Elmendorf Moms,

We arrived here at Elmendorf on November 1, 2010 and I have yet to make any friends (besides our sponsor's wife but they are PCS-ing next month). My son hasn't really interacted with other children and anytime that we do bump in to someone his age, he gets really excited. Looks more interested than anything. So I tried searching on Google to see if there were any stay-at-home moms who have play dates with other moms and their children on Elmendorf. I found a lot off base but I'm looking for something more close to home and of course to interact with other moms that have something in common with myself. If there are any groups like that, please let me know and if not, let's start our own! This is my first time being a mom and staying home all the time and it gets a little lonely plus I have no one else to talk to during the day besides my son, and well, he can't really say anything back yet. hehe.

That's a couple of people MORE than what I know. I only know our sponsers wife but they're leaving in about 20 days. Do you live on base too?

There is a playgroup in the same building as the old post office on Craw Ave. I know it is 3 times a week but can only remember mondays and fridays 10-12.

HEY! we got here in Sept and i have a 20 month old son , ive been trying to find play groups also ! . I only know a couple of people here .

He is 8 months old. :-] he was very unexpected but we can't imagine living our lives without him. Umm..OK. I think I know where that is. What kind of group is it? Is there a website where I can look up their times and whatnot? Thanks for your reply Molly!

Hey welcome to Elmendorf! There is a playgroup on base I cant think of the exact address but it is on Craw Ave- near the dorms and the temp address place we use when we first PCS (if that makes any sense). I havent really heard of any other play groups on base. How old is your son?
