I agree it's your choice i breast feed my lastchild till he was 18 months he would still take it. Does the child sleep with you. Cause mine did n he would just take it while I was asleep. My breast r forover ruined but ya know thats why
god gave us breast to feed our baby's.

I believe that your baby is going to grow up to be one of the healthiest kids on the face of the planet the great benefits from Breast feeding is amazing. I say yay you for being able to do it for so long!!!! its always a personal prefferance and it would be like someone dissing someone else for being healthy I think some people need to mind their business and if they open their mouths then they need to back it up with relevance! Fact not fiction but also understand that it everyone gets to make their own decisions!!! the best part about being human!!!!

of course a 4 year old is not being breast fed only. then I would agree with you that they must be fed properly. I just do not understand what you mean by "being nasty to our babies." I just really want to understand everyone's opinion more.

breastfeeding is recommended world wide, but do you think breastfeeding a 4 year old is good enough for the baby? let us face the fact: this baby needs more energetic foods than what you are giving him and the mom must stop i mean it plz just stop breast feeding there is more to that kid than what you are giving him plz moms let us not be nasty to our babies. i dont mean to insult you but plz just stop breastfeeding

I am not saying what is right or wrong. I am just curious as to why those who say it is too much find it weird or disturbing? I mean it is not as if breast feeding is a sexual act. Neither the mom or the child views it that way, so why does everyone else? I also understand that in American culture this is not common. Again, not picking sides!

I think that 4 years old is a bit much also but I still think that it is the parents decision.

Did you know that the UN tells everyone that they should try to breastfeed until 2 years. The world average for breastfed baby's are 4 years old.

by the time your baby reaches a year old you should stop breast feeding, the max is 18 months

I think it is an individual choice and most people don't know what the circumstances are surrounding the breast fed child. It is really no ones business if the mother is discrete.

I don't believe a child that old should still be breast fed. I nursed both of my older boys till just short of 1yr. and am now nursing my newborn and plan to cut it off around the same time. Even bottle fed babies should be transitioned to sippy cup ect.. at one year, especially for dental reasons. When a child can either crawl on your lap and pull your blouse/shirt up and or ask for the breast, it's socially disturbing and not doing that child any good.
