my son will be three in May and we are still having difficulty him to just step into the restroom. We tried a couple of times but all he does is cry and kick. I quit trying, and now sometimes out of the blue he will tell me he wants to go. But if I constantly ask him to go, he says "no no no" and runs to hide. Does anyone have any ideas that maybe i can try. I have tried the little papers you throw in the potty to aim at too.

I would 1st try to b sure he is ready. I ws a new mothr with my first, didn't know that ws impotent and struggled for years. There r signs online, ex. they dnt went themselves during the night. I have since potty trained a daughter years later and started from scratch. Aftr researching online methods becuz my daughtr ws showing the same signs of discouragement, I took a few of dr. phils teniques. I also added no pressure just excitement even when it ws forced...good luck.

*The trick is not to keep on asking him if he has to use the bathroom! It will just autimaticaly come natural. Thats how it was with my son. An thats the technique I used (only)!! So I would just stick to the letting him do it on his own act!!
*Short but I hope it was helpful!!! :)-----Good Luck. It is a hard stage.
