My daughter just turned 6 months on the 21st of January. She was eating so well but all of a sudden will not eat anything but her cereal, and bottle. No spoon feeding. Then she started waking up all hours of the night and takes me forever to get her back to sleep. Some people say teething, and maybe thats it. Any suggestions? Should I be worried?

well with my son he got teeth late according to the baby book i have and when he was about 7-8 months got his first teeth with some teeth he wouldnt eat any baby food but would drink his bottle

with other teeth he wanted his baby food more but still drank formula or at least water in a bottle and he was fine. if your little one wont eat and wont drink formula
call your doctor the next day because it could be something like teething, or maybe she's sick, or something gastronomical (aka something with her stomach)

You might look in her mouth. Maybe a red throat. Maybe a white or coated tongue. something making her mouth or throat sore. Did she get hold of something that irritated her mouth like a toy that had been cleaned with germ killer of some kind? Teething would be the most likely thing. Waking up probably fussing because she is hungry and maybe hurting. Does infant tylenol help? Simethocone drops for upset stomach. Did she vomit up soured milk or formula? Maybe caused by a little fever or teething.
Good luck.

If your baby begins to refuse formula and /or is unable to finish a feeding, and becomes fussy and cries a lot - and seems to be in pain, then take your baby to the doctor. Make sure you keep tract of the weight. Check to see if your baby's mouth and tongue is extremely dry, is the skin dry, does baby have fever? As long as your baby is drinking formula and weight is good, than don't worry. Baby formula is quite nutritious - do not change to regular milk for it does not contain the vitamins and minerals your baby needs. and could cause low iron levels. Should stay on a doctor recommended formula for first year. Good luck, I'm sure everything will be fine, you are the best advocate for your child - and isn't that great!!

Teething does do i am going through a little bit of that myself with my 5 month old, she had no troubles with her first two teeth when she got them at 4 months but she is getting another four at once and it is very painful i am guessing for her, nothing is settling her. GOOD LUCK, but i am sure it is nothing to be worries about

well right now i wouldnt be too worried because if shes refusing solid food, shes getting more formula, which is still the best thing for her at barely over 6 months.I would be worried if she refuses formula for more than a day, i say that only because mine is going through the food refusal right now. but every child is different.
