Remember all babies are different, My son is 11 months old and have 4 teeth,,, they say the longer it takes better teeth... I don't know about that, But if you are worried, go to your plunket nurse or doctor and ask them or dentist. Is his gums swallin if so, he will get some soon... teeth go up and down alot until they break though.

Lily-rose was the same but they came soon enough. No need to worry. She has only two bottom ones now.

Absolutely not! My 2 1/2 year old seemed to be teething until she was 2 with various teeth. But she didn't get her first tooth until she was one year old exactly! Our pediatrician said not to worry about it. My 11 month old has just gotten her first tooth :)

No, you shouldn't. My son has been teething for quite some time, is 11 months old, and is just barely cutting his two bottom teeth. My friend's daughter didn't get any teeth until she was 14 months old.

No, it's not unusual for some babies to get their first teeth as far as 18 months. DD just barely got her first teeth and she's 11 1/2 months.

My daughter doesn't have any teeth either, and she has been teething since she was two months old.

No don't worry about it teeth are not a development indicator so it makes no difference whether they are early or late. My nephew didn't get any teeth until he was 14 months old and then 4 came through together.

Don't worry at all! This is my 4th baby and ALL my kids have gotten teeth late. CLementine is just pushing through her first tooth and she's 11 months. None of my kids have gotten teeth before 10 months, and the dentist actually said it's better for their teeth to come in late rather than early - their teeth are more likely to be healthy/less prone to decay. So be happy you have a late teether!! =]

Not at all! Every baby gets their teeth in their own time! My daughter has 8 teeth already (11 months) and is getting her 9th and 10th in...the longer it takes, the healthier they will be! My best friend didn't get teeth until she was 2! Hard to believe but true lol.

My lo is just getting her 1st two, and I didn't get mine until I was a year old.
Enjoy it - true teething SUCKS. (Up all night, screaming in pain, nothing helps, teeth breaking skin teething, I mean.)

My daughter is 11 mo. next week and just now has her 1st tooth popping up. My friend who works for a pediatric dentist said it is actually desirable the later they come in.

Nope, all babies are different. Orajel makes it a longer process though b/c it makes their gums harder.

No don't be worried!! My daughter is pretty much walking and still has no teeth! They are very close to cutting though but all babies are different! Some babies don't get them until after a year!
