My 3 month old will not drink her bottled milk. I have switched milk 3 times already. She will go up to 24 hours without her milk, crying everytime she tastes it. She does drink her pedialyte, which I had to resort to for her not to dehydrate. She was colic, and did have reflux, both have decreased. Docter is evaluating, but I am starting to get nervous as it is more than a week now. Could this be lactose intolerance?

Hey Lindsay -
Yea the formula is warm enough, i dont think she likes it warm warm, Yea i have tried a few formulas, 1 gave her the runs, another blocked her up,
i wish they made the formula in a smaller tin so i can try a bunch of them out.

beware of soy milk and formula I just found out that it is illegal for children under 2 to have it in France and I believe England (not sure on the last one.)

it wouldn't hurt for you to try a soy based formula.. atleast you might some peace of mind.. after switching formulas you should see in about 48 hours if it has helps.. also.. is the formula warm enough? I know my little ones, Kaitlyn 3 months and Madison 15 months had to have warm formula, sometimes we had to re-warm half way through..if it was to cold they would cry..

my little girl is lactose intolerant - well we think.
she started throwing up and pooing every time i gave her a bottle. as soon as the bottle hit her lips she would get the runs, up to 6 or 7 full runny nappies in less than a hour.
Pediatrician suggested to try a LF formula and she has been fine since. She still like getting the boob though and has no problems after that.

Your daughter is 3 months right? how is her swallow reflex. I have a 15 week old God daughter who is refusing to take her seizure meds. It has been a week now and we all are getting worried also. It isn't like we can try different flavors. I finally tried mixing it with rice cereal. She actually took half and we all sighed in relief. At 4 months babies can start on vegetables. Maybe try that thinned or formula with her now with cereal. The cereal helps them stay full longer so eating less is ok!!
