I am happy to say my little girl Miriella was born 10/10/2009 only one day late!
My water broke at 7:30am and labor started 6 hours later and she was born at 6:21pm.

Weighing a big healthy 9"5!!
I am glad it's over! Labor was fast and second stage was a crazy 6 mins

no stitches needed and went home within 24 hours.

I hope you all get to cuddle your little ones real soon.

Went to the Dr last week Thursday, and everything is still fine. I have to go again this Friday (16/10/2009). The closer the time gets the more scared I become. It is amazing that men would comment on my tummy and how big it has become, but there's is bigger. Mine would be gone in a couple of weeks, they are stuck with there's. In South Africa the old people believe you should drive on an gravel-road or drink Caster-oil to bring on your contractions. At this stage I stay away from all bumpy roads and anything that looks like oil. I would love to have it over and done with, but I'm not going to cause it.

I'm due Oct 11th with my first, and I share your pain! I have been trying everything to get the labor started..lots of walking..sex..sex..sex..and I even ate a whole pineapple the other day..still no signs of anything promising! I was having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions last week,,but not so much this week, which is even more disheartening. I have a doctors appointment friday..was really hoping I wouldn't make it until then! I agree with one of the other girls in that I feel like I'm going to be like this forever..although I know that's not the case. Good luck to all of you..and just think, we will all be holding our little ones soon and all the pain and waiting will be well worth it! Congrats to all!

Theresa I am with you, even though you have a few more weeks ahead yet, I still feel your pain. My first son was 4380grams and second 3650grams. This girl is expected to be between them both, so no less than 4 kilos too!!

Last one for me also.

I am ready to move onto another phase of my life that by no means includes pregnancy ;-)

Good luck to you also, and hang in there. Hopefully you will have your baby earlier than your induction date, lets say 17th ;-)

Hi girls, know exactly what you are talking about. My sonar date is 30 Oct, but dr said he will do induction on 22 Oct. I'm so done getting up 2-3 times in the night and having to go to the loo every 10 min at work. I try not to think of the back that feels like I have been to the gym everyday for the last 2 weeks, actually the whole body feels like that. My first son was 3.28kg (not sure what it is in your terms) and the dr thinks this one could be 4kg. Not fun on the bladder, though. Have to go for a check-up tomorrow, but just want the whole thing over with. This will be my last, don't think I will survive another. Good luck to you all out there!!

Mr midwifes don't do regular cervix checks (which I am a huge fan of). Had one early on and don't get anther till labor starts or I am over due, which is my next appointment on Monday, fingers crossed I don't make it there.

I was also told today to not expect anything under 8pound 9, which is also a scary thought. I am just under 40weeks and measuring at 44cms!!

The mucus plug is stuck in the opening of your cervix and prevents infection of the membranes, when you start to dialate it comes loose. Kind of like a bloody show if you have heard of that, but minus the bloody bit.

hahah Ariel I am glad we have found women that share our collective pain. Braxton Hicks are getting worse. I have had several really bad ones that have woken me up at night and I think 'this is it!' only for them to die away after about 30 mins.

It wont be long ladies, being that we have already had children we should know better ;-)

I'm due on the 9th of October, With my third. I'm over going to the toilet every movement i make, Waddeling 'OMG' I have to lift my own leg to make the first move and my feet 'OMG' i had to take pictures it looks like some blew them up like gloves you blow up man i'm serious my feet!!! grrrr... I am over it i want him out now! =)

i have had alot of braxton higgs babies in position. I'm ready i'm sure he is.

I have had that one since 20 weeks!
But I have big babies and hate having to explain that too.
I have the standard 'no not twins, I have big babies, my forst was 9''11 and second was 8''2''

But this time she isn't supposed to be that big I just have more than the average fluid in there. I did this fun quiz online, madamme zimelda or something, you can type 'predict my labor intog google and should be able to find it. Its just for fun, but she predicted I was going to have a 14pound baby!! That was a nice thing to read even as a joke ;-)

I am hoping we can both have little girls by the end of the week ;-) Good, luck

Isn't that annoying when everyone comments on the fact that you have the biggest belly? Even at my Dr's office, I left feeling like they'd never seen such a big belly...can't possibly be the case! Or those folks that ask if you're having twins? Love that (NOT).

I am starting to think I will be like this forever, even though I know that is insane I can't help but to think 'yep, I am just going to be walking around with this huge round belly forever'

I guess the thing that makes it worse is the amount of total stranger that want to commment on how big I am, the fact that I must be 'over it!' or just generally wan to tell you how sorry they feel for you. If it wasn't for them I would probably be able to last a few more weeks, but I am sick of feeling crap and strangers telling me I must feel like crap!
Oh well, at least i know at the very latest I will have my baby girl on the 23rd of October. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I am also hoping my midwife strips my mebranes tomorrow

Me!! I'm due the 9th too! This is our second. I'm already 4 cm dilated, but no strong contractions. :*( My Dr. stripped my membranes on Thursday and said that should speed things up...but nothin' yet!
