mile is just over 6months, we started weening at 20weeks, he has a small little tub of cereal for breakfast,half a small tub of veg and the same again of fruit for lunch and only today started on dinners, plus 4 bottles. i guess it all depends on the baby a to how much they eat

My daughter's pediatrician said there are no rules when it comes to feeding. He told me to give my daughter as much as she wanted!

Mine will be six months on the 28 and I don't think we will even start her on solids then as there is a family history of food allergies and diabetes on both sides. We will not start with rice cereal either, we will start with fruits, veggies, and ground meats.

My little guy had worked up to 8 tablespoons a day then he got constipated. Now he only takes about 4-5. His dr said 2-6 tbls is good at this age.

Do you feed her/him any other food? I feed my 6 month twin girls 4 ounces (1/2 cup) of cereal for breakfast and then 4 ounces of a veggie for dinner. And that combined as I feed them together. I go to my dr on Tuesday and I think he is going to want to have us feed solids for 3 meals. My friend who has a 7 month old does this;
Breakfast
3 tablespoons of cereal
1 ounces of fruit
Lunch:
2 ounces of veggie
1 ounce of meat
1 ounce of fruit
dinner:
2 ounces of veggie
1 ounce of fruit
Plus she gives him 20-25 oucnes of formula. Fomula/Breast Milk is really what they need before the solid food. Its much more important!

I only give my baby 1 tbs a day. My doctor didn't want me to start feeding her until she was 6 months. I started at 5 months. She's very satisfied with that and the milk. She was sleeping through the night on just formula from about 3 months. She's gaining weight so I'm ok with it. Next Dr appt in 2 weeks so we'll see where we go from there...
