How much do you feed your baby?

My son was born 20 October and is already on stage 2 weaning, he only has 7oz milk at 7am and 3pm and 6.30pm. he eats all food groups and is already on lumpier foods like rice and baby pasta. I think you must get the complete guide to baby meals by Annabel Karmel she is brilliant with what they should eat.

i started weaning my son at 6months old now he has a bottle in a morning wen he gets up between 7-8am then has his weetabix at 10-11 then he has our food between 1-2 then tea (our food) 4-5 then a bottle at 7-8pm then bed then he will sleep through the night he was sleeping through when he was 2months he is a good baby.

the twins are on nutriprem 2 and get up for the day at around 9 am have their breakfast cereal 6 teaspoons dried mixed with aprox 3oz of milk each then they have a little drink only around an oz,
3-5oz bottle at 12,
dinner at 2 ish half a stage 2 dinner and pudding each,
a bottle at 4 is 3-5oz
tea at 6 either 2 rusks each made with approximately 4 oz milk or a bowl of veg and meat, and then have bath or a wash down
they also have a yoghurt as a snack at some point during the day
a 3-5oz bottle at 7pm, story and bed
wake once at approx 1 am for 1-2oz milk and again for same at around 6am

My son ((Oct 2)) Eats 3 (4oz) jar foods a day w/ a sippy cup of 4oz of milk/water/juice, i feed him at 8am 1pm and 6pm this is our routine.. and then his bed time bottle of 8oz at 8/830pm...

My baby was born Oct. 19th and eats all day long! He gets cereal in the early morning and a 6 oz bottle, a jar of fruit and a jar of veggies at lunch, the same at dinner, and a bottle just whenever he wants one. He weighs 17 lbs so the dr says he's doing just fine. Feed him when he's hungry he says so I do!

My baby was born on the 9th and still won't take solids. Everytime I try he gags and throws up. even just a taste makes him throw up. It really is quit annoying. He doesn't take a bottle he is breast fed.

i was going to ask the same question as this my son was born on the 19 oct and he is so not intersted in bottles he will prob drink a couple of ozs then spits it out lol i feed him 3 times a day but the most he will drink is 7 oz in the morning and maybe 5 before bed but during the day he just takes a oz or two every couple of hours on the fomula box its says 7 months should have 3 7 oz bottles in 24 hours so he is right on track, the way i see it is i wouldn't want to drink milk everyday from birth to now i would get sick of it to lol

my daughter born oct 2nd eats a a baby size bowl of creal in the morning then 1 4 month old jar then bread and jam for lunch then a another 4 month old jar for dinner then pudding and she has snacks in the day ie rice cakes cheesey puffs and baby bickets and she has 8 oz bottles 4 x a day

my son was born on the 25th and he eats a 2.5oz jar of food in the morning and another one at night. From 6:30am - 9:00pm he has a 5-6 oz bottle every 3 hours.

My daughter was also born Oct 15, I feed her a bottle (8 oz) when she gets up. If she seems hungry before lunch (which is noonish) I'll give her a rice cookie. For lunch she has a half a jar of meats or veggies and half a jar of fruits (the small jars) and then a 4 oz bottle. Around 4:30-5:30ish I give her an 8 oz bottle and then at bedtime (around 8-8:30) we give her some rice cereal followed by an 8oz bottle after a bath. If she seems hungry through the day I'll give her a rice cookie or a yogurt

I have twin girls that were born on Oct 29, we started solids around 4 months. Now they have a pretty good schdule. They wake up around 7ish...5 1/2 oz bottle and 1 1/2 TBSP of cereal (rice or oatmeal), lunch is around 11:30-12...same thing bottle and fruits/veggies....4pm another bottle...dinner at 5pm (fruits/veggies) and bed time bottle at 7:30pm...normal in bed sleeping by 8:30.
I had so much doubt early on trying to figure out how much to give and when. They have been on solids now for almost 2 months and I find they go through patches where they are not interested in bottles. It's all about them growing.

Jennifer, my son was born Oct 10th and being as though he has acid reflux hes been on rice cereal since 2mnths, but now that I have started solid foods with cereal mixed he's doing really well and i have even went as far as trying the single grain oatmeal with his fruits and whole grain cereal with his dinner. When my son goes to the babysitter its 645am so he has a bottle early morning, fruit for lunch and bottle in the mid afternoon but for dinner i cut the solid food portion in half and give him a 4oz bottle he's been doing very well. He already drinks 6oz bottle alone so i hope that helped you in some way lol....

my son was born on the 15th, he is breastfed, i started rice cereal/ veggies/ fruit at 5 mo but his was very gassy so i stopped. he is now 6mo and i give him rice cereal once a day, he isnt a very good eater it seems compared to most of your babies. he doesnt take a bottle, just plays with it, still likes the breast most. im worried he isnt getting enough. ive always fed him on demand. yesterday i gave him fresh fruit juice (apple and carrot ) which was obviously not a good idea as he had a tummy ache last night. im kinda confused of how to go about feeding him

My son was born on the 18th and he eats 4 times a day. he has a bottle and cerel in the morning and also at dinner the other times are just a bottle once at lunch time and before he goes to bed at night.

My daughter was born on the 17th. She has been sleeping through the night since 6 weeks old. I started giving her rice cereal (1tbl) accompanied with her 6 oz bottle. Now that she is 5 months, she is now eating 3 meals a day (1tbl cereal mixed with 2 tbl veggie or fruit. I accompany each meal with a 6oz bottle. She wouldn't go for the bottle as much either so I have her practically finish her bottle before I start feeding her the food. Its just a matter of building up to three regular meals a day and making sure that your son is getting adequate hydration. Hope this helps. You're doing great!

my Daughter Isla was born on the 4th october, she is now on 3 meals a day and 3 7oz bottles a day, with water inbetween. She has cereal with fruit in the morning with a bottle, home-made pureed veg, potatoes and sometimes red lentil savoury or chicken casserole etc with some water for lunch, then a 7oz bottle at 2.30pm, then babyrice and fruit at 5, for supper with more water and then at about 6.30pm she has a 7oz bottle before bed, she sleeps through then from 7 at night until about 7;30 the next morning. I weaned her at exactly 6 months and moved through the process quite quickly, she now eats a variety of different fruit and veg etc and seems very contented.

My son was born on the 26th of october and i have been introducing solids sic he was 4 months, and he is now in a routine. He has an 8oz bottle between 630am and 8am (depends when he wakes up) then has his breakfast at 9am, usualy rice with fruit mainly plums of pears he loves them, then lunch of veg with fruit between 12.30pm and 1pm then a 5oz bottle at 3pm and dinner of veg at 5.30pm when he had solids and during the day he drinks robinsons no added orange juice (i found baby juice just went straight threw him!) he has his last bottle at bed time at 6.50 every night and thats him untill the morning he hasnt woken up during the night for months! i would introduce more solids if you are worried my boy gets grumpy if he doesnt get fed at these times as he knows what he wants! :)

My son was premature so even though he's 6 months old i can't feed him solids for approximately another 2 months. Right now he has 6 or 7 bottles a day of 130ml. I guess it just depends on what and how much they want to eat.

my daughter was breastfed for the first five months and now she is on just formula and baby food. She takes about 5-6 bottles a day anywhere from 6-8oz each and eats probably one big jar of the 2nd foods and a small jar of the 1st foods each night for dinner. She doesn't eat cereals, because they hurt her little tummy. She is 6 months old and weighs almost 20lbs, but she has been on steriods since she was about a month old.

I give my son, who will be six months old on the 20th, a 6oz bottle with cereal/fruit in the morning. He's pretty good with eating every 5 hours, so when he's hungry again, for lunch he gets a 7oz bottle. For dinner, he gets veggies/cereal, 1/2 jar of fruit and a 5oz bottle. He won't wake to eat until I get him up at 6 so we can get to the sitter.

My little girl was born 3rd october... breast fed 4 week n half... went straight into hungry baby. My little guy was born October 3rd and didn't start getting solid food until he was 6 months. He gets about five 6oz bottles a day. Plus in the AM he gets cereal and fruit, then in the PM he gets cereal and veggies. Yesterday I tried giving him chicken in broth baby food and he only let me get 2 little spoonfuls in and he cringed every time he swallowed for probably half an hour. And I don't blame him, it smelled like catfood!

My boy eats 3 times a day. Drinks about 5 bottles of 200ml milk. Drinks juice/water inbetween. Eats Cheese Curls and finger cookies as well.

My little one born October 10th is eating solids since 4months old once a day, sometimes more sometimes less. She is still breastfed though and prefers it over solids. :)

My baby was born October 10th, I have not fed him solids yet, He is breast fed and weighs 18lbs 2oz. I don't know how many times a day he nurses though I have never counted

My baby was born on the 13th of Oct so he is now 6months old. I started giving him rice cereal at 4months, then oatmeal at 5months. Once he turned 5 months, I started him on veggies. Now at 6 months, he is eating fruits. He has cereal and fruit when he wakes up and I give him a 5oz bottle if he is still hungry. 3 hours later he gets a 6.5 oz bottle. Next feeding,(which is 3 hours later), he gets a veggie and fruit and a 4 oz bottle if still hungry. 3 hours later a 6.5 oz bottle then his last feeding for the day is veggie and fruit and a 5 oz bottle. He goes to bed around 8:45 and will sleep until around 7-7:30. I'm still trying to twick his schedule because I would like to put him down earlier.

I don't have personal experience as Xander isn't on solids yet...he has 5 x 240ml bottles a day. But I have been getting advise about starting solids from my SIL and she said to fully expect Xander to want less from his bottles as his solids increase.

My son was born Oct 20th and I have been feeding him rice cereal, fruits and veggies since he was 4 months old. He drinks a 6 oz bottle in the morning, another 6 oz bottle about 3 hours after that. Then around noon he eats a bowl (spoon fed) of cereal and a fruit. He will drink another 6 oz bottle around 4 then at 6 or 7 he eats cereal again with a veggie. He has another 6 oz bottle around 9 right before bed time. He does wake up in the middle of the night for a bottle, I usually only give him 4oz and he is good till morning. My son seems to be hungry all the time!! I always tell everyone that I think he eats way too much but even my doctor said he is healthy, he just has a good appitate. I think you son is doing great and you shouldn't be worried at all.
