How much do your little ones sleep?

my son is 6 weeks old and mainly stays awake most of the day he has a bottle at around 10pm, and depending on how much he has fed through the day he will sleep till 6, some nights waking at midnight for what we call his midnight snack - only about 2-3oz. anyway he usually wakes at 6 has a 6 oz bottle then sleeps again till 9 or 10 and has another nap then about 3 for an hour and an hour about 6ish - with the odd catnap here and there if we are out and hes in his pushchair

At three weeks, our little girl was going through a major growth spurt and her sleeping was very unpredictable. She's sleep for three hours during the day and then do cat naps of 15 mins...during the night, it was impossible to get her to sleep for more than an hour or so. But once that third week passed, she started doing 4 hour stretches at night and continued the cat naps during the say...sometimes 15, sometimes 20 or 45 mins. Now, at 9 weeks, she's doing b/w 4-6 hour stretches at night and two 45 min naps in her swing and little cat naps here and there....hubby and I just say, "It's her world, and we get to live in it!"

Our wee boy is 6 weeks old now and doesnt sleep much at all during the day, has little cat naps sometimes 30 mins or so three times a day.
Depending on the day he may sleep longer.
At night he has been sleeping through for the last three days and a couple of tmes before that but we have still had a few nights where he wakes three hourly.

Our son is 7 weeks and sleeps little cat naps during the day and we give him last bottle between 10 and midnight and he is up between 4 and 7am. He will only sleep being held or in his car seat. Will absolutely not sleep in packnplay or cradle. Not sure if we r doing the right thing but is the onlyh way we get any sleep.

I have a 4 week old baby girl... when I brought her home she slept all the time.. mostly during the day and a little at night. She only woke up to be fed. Now that the weeks have gone by.. she likes to holler and carry on all the time.. I believe she has colic. So she gets a few naps in there.. but they are like cat naps.. maybe 2 hours. Some at 1 hour.

my little baby boy is 5 weeks now he has about 2hour to 3 hours sleep a day and is starting to sleep aleast 4 to five hours at night between feeds

I have a six week old but she has been on the same schedule since newborn. Generally babies have a wake up period wether it be during the day (hope so!) or at night, where they stay up the longest period of time consecutivley. As far as night time goes, we would giver her the last bottle around 12 or 1 am and then finally go to bed, she would only wake up once before we ended up waking up in the morning.

Jackson will be 7 weeks on Tuesday, he sleeps about 3-4 hours at a time. Usually he sleeps in his vibrating chair but never in his cradle or pack-n-play. He always sleeps a lot better when he's either laying on my chest or next to me. He's just starting to stay awake more during the day than at night.

i am glad to hear you have a sleeper too, my bub is also 10/3 baby, and i was afraid he was sleeping too much, he just this week has begun staying awake more.

snap this weeks bubs is starting to be awake more and loves his new playgym (would recommend to all) as when he kicks the ball it makes the bears head swing down with flashing lights and music.

My son is 4 weeks now and he sleeps almost all day...and u guys can imagine about nights:( ...he feeds more and stays awake.....i am much worried as its hard to get some sleep ..any suggestions???

my baby girl is 4wks tomorrow and her nights generally consit of 2 6hr sleeps 8pm-12am then 12.30 am-6.30am seems to be the pattern and she has various naps through out the day. shes usually awake 3-6hrs a day

Kristen - I am in the same boat with my son. He did sleep quite a bit today, and I was able to sleep as well, but I can't really predict when he will sleep. He has switched to sleeping in 4 hour increments at night, but the last few days he seems to have switched back to sleeping in the morning.

My baby sleeps more during the day than at night. I try and sleep when he does, but its like he can sense as soon as I lay down. If he doesn't wake up he starts making loud noises every few minutes so I can't sleep cause it keeps sounding like he's going to wake up. I'm so jealous of all these moms who have their babies on schedules already!!

my boys are 1 month today. they are up twice to eat over night. and more an more awake during the day... they were 3wks preterm. but generally during the day hours they spend about 2 solid hours awake between naps.. and usually about 3 before bed

my baby is 5 weeks old and sleeps maybe 3-4 hours during the day and wakes up every 5 hours or so during the night.. But this all depends what kind of day we had.. if he had colics, and cried most of the day he will sleep alot more at night.

My 5wk old sleeps a lot mostly on me .... I don't recommend this LOL. He sleeps in 4 or 2 hr intervals. Still no schedule yet...

My daughter is three weeks and she only sleeps a couple hours during the day now. She will usually take 2 or 3 naps during the day for an hour or two or three. She is sleeping almost through the night. She will go down around 11 and wake up around 8. I just have to wake her up to eat and then she goes right back down to sleep. She is a great baby. She does not liek daytime sleeping as much anymore lol!
