Is it normal for 11 weeks old to sleep long ??

hi ,
my daughter is born on 15 of oct 2009. she is now 11 weeks old. and she is sleeping nearly 19-20 hrs a day ...is this normal . while she is awake she smiles, turn side ways and some time trys to turn on her tummy ... and also started uttering uhh ..ahha sought of sounds ...

My little girl is the same, i've read that babies this age need to sleep a minimum of 16 hours and some sleep a lot longer

I have twin boys, born on October 12th, and one of them is sleeping about that long each day. It is fairly normal. As long as she is waking herself up to eat and alert when she is awake I wouldn't worry. They will go through stages of sleeping all the time. It just means the are doing a lot of growing.
