He has been sitting by himself since he about 5 1/2 months, now he army crawls every where and is pulling himself up on everything, he cruises around the furniture but s still pretty wobbly but he loves to empty his entire book shelf whenever he can, he is gonna be in to everything when he really starts walking! he says dada all the time and mama a few times, still no teeth yet

my daughter was born oct 11 '09 and she's been crawling since she was about 5 months old. she's been pulling up on things and standing and getting down on her own. recently she's been sticking her butt in the air trying to stand without support. she is also talking, simple things, she knows mama, baba, and come here.

My son was born 10-27-10 and is crawling and walking along furniture. He'll "walk" when you hold his hands too but not that most stable yet. My son still just babbles but we swear a few weeks ago he said hi a couple of times.

That really is remarkable! You should be so proud! My sone was born Oct 17. He his very close to crowling. He gets up on all fours and thrusts his body forwards but then falls on his belly and slithers across the floor like an inch worm. He's not saying mama or dada yet, but he does have his vowel sounds down and the understands some of what I'm telling him. He does make a drawn out sound that sounds a little like "I love you," so always just say, "I love you, too," even though I know that's just about impossible.

My little girl was born October 19th. She is a talker...DaDa and MaMa and lots of other fun sounds. She's hitting all her motor milestones, but doesn't seem too interested in getting moving. Dr. just said she is focusing all her energies on her verbal skills. Everyone said she'd be walking young because she's so strong but she obviously has other plans. She isn't crawling yet, but she's begun rocking while sitting and scooting forward to get what she wants. I love how different kids are and can't wait to see how all this translates into who they are.

I remember at 2 months Jacob would move one foot after another forward while holding on to my fingers....He's not walking yet on his own, but at 51/2 months he started saying "MumMUm".....

When he wants "Milk" he goes "Mmmmmmmmmmm"

He understands "bottle" as well (i ask him if he wants his bottle when i give him water)

I ask him where the "light " is, and he looks at the ceiling and smiles

When i count "1,2,3" he sits up & when he's pulling hair, scratching, banging i say "gentle" and he stops what he's doing, and will do it gently

I'm just waiting for my son to start walking (born 10/20/09). He's crawling (since he was 5 months maybe a bit earlier, and lifts himself up holding on to something. He takes little steps if you hold him or while holding on to something. Has to visible bottom teeth with 2 top ones visibly breaking through. He says mama, dada, and a whole mess of other little words.

well since my last post a week ago, my little girl has started to pull herself up on EVERYTHING!!!! Its driving me mad!!

Plus she now gets out of her bouncer with the straps done up!!! crawls down one step and is just plain FEARLESS!!!

She is going to be a handful in a month I think. Totally freaking out because I am pregnant and due in November, s I will have a crazy little girl and a new born. Joy :)
And yes I agree, why did Stephanie feel the need to be so rude???
I doubt this is a thread based on mothers competing about how much their children do compared to others, its just a place to share. No need for that kind of stuff

My son, Devyn was born on Oct. 16th. He has been sitting up for quite a while now. He recently started TRYING to crawl. But thankfully, he is NOT mobile yet. Im not encouraging him to crawl at all. Like one mom said, he is just too young to understand no. Even though he is not crawling, he is good at scooting. And he still manages to get into everything.

my daughter was born on the 4th Oct also and she is our third child to. She sits up by herself, babbles away to anyone listening but doesnt even crawl let alone walk and i am happy about that. I like them to have a few more wits before they get up on their legs and teeter around so i am content for those particular milestones to come a bit later on:)
