It's not like she trips or anything, more like she "forgets" to stand up. I'm sure she probably just loses her balance, but I'm concerned that she's going to really hurt herself. Is this normal? Does anyone else's children do this?

My daughter used to do that when she was about 1 1/2 it is because they are in a hurry. Sometimes she still does that but i found out it can be because she is tired. Just watch her and see if it is because she is in a hurry or tired.

My son has been doing this lately as well! I think it's more from awkwardness after growing a bit. He's got scrapes and bruises all over! I mentioned it to my doctor, but she didn't think it was anything I should worry about! (:

I think it is generally when she is tired. Not so much with shoes on, I get her feet measured regularly but they aren't growing - she's in the same size shoes (4F) that she was in last April when she started walking. I think it is just tiredness.

does this happen when she is tired? or wearing shoes? sometimes Anna falls when she is tired. if it happens more than once or twice in a week or so with shoes get her sized, if you are worried check with the pediatrician. it doesn't hurt to ask
