My 6 month old son still is not sleeping through the night. I have tried cereal, warm milk. reducing his nap times. He usually falls asleep at 9:30pm and then he will wake up at 2 and 5 am to eat! I mean on the dot I can set a watch to him! Please give me some advice!!

Hi there am having the same problem with my daughter except she is waking up every two hours and the only way i can get her back to sleep is to feed her!!she has been eating solids for a month now and a bit and is still hasnt changed her!!!grrr i am going to try tough love tonight as it worked with my eldest daughter who is now and excellent sleeper, it is really difficult to do but i know it is likely to work!

When we used to do the night time feeds (very blessed, my guy started sleeping thru on his own at 9wks), we'd give him a feed about 8.30pm, then a dreamfeed at 11.30pm (I always made that bottle slightly bigger than the day time ones). Suddenly one night he slept thru until 6am, instead of 4am! I kept this going for a few months, then slowly bought it back to 7.30pm & 10.30pm, and now it's 8pm. He does usually nod off around 7pm in his swing or on the floor in the lounge room with us, but we've found if we give him his last feed then he'll wake around 3-4am for breakfast. So we just gently stir him at 8-8.30pm.

**EDIT**

Sorry, I don't have any advice on the cereals etc as I haven't tried Xander on any solids yet. May 1st is the big day for that!

Maybe making the cereal a little thicker to get his belly full. I did this with mone and he just loved it but i started mine on cereal at about 4-6 weeks old which was real runny and by the time he was about 8-9 weeks old he was eating like a champ and i had to make it a little thicker so it wouldnt run out of his mouth. I would also try some foods and u can mix the cereal with the food and it helps. Plus dont put cereal in the bottle spoon feed him so he can get used to it!
