Zachary is almost 6 months old now & he hates baby food! Sometimes I can get him to eat Sweet Potatoes but that's really about it. He will try to eat to it for me a little bit then he will burst into tears. I just need to know if anyone has gone through this??...

You could try Baby Lead Weaning/Solids. Basically you put finger foods (veges) in front of baby and let them play with it, put it to their mouth, taste it and really just explore it. This lets them try food when they are ready. I wouldn't force him to eat if he really doesn't want to, especially if he isn't quite 6 mths yet. As they say "Food before one is fun".

My son didnt like them at first so I tried mixing a bit of his solid foods with his rice cereal which he would take fine, Then I just added some exra water or formula to the food instead of the cereal.. I think he didnt like the texture of the solid food. Now he eats food like a champ!!

My son is 6 months and gets terrible pains when he eats solids.. so we are choosing to delay them and go extremely slowly with what we will feed him. maybe he's having pain too? try really watery foods... or if you breastfeed mix breastmilk in.

jessica my ds was almost 9 months before he started eating and never once ate baby food i just dont think he liked it. it was not through lack of trying mind you i must have tried every baby food i could find and bought a blender to make him homemade food. at 9 months old however he started finger feeding himself it started with him picking bits off my plate. it was good in a way because we missed the whole messy spoon bit lol.
HOWEVER i would still speak to your health visitor as my son needed vitamins when he turned 6 months due to not eating
