My lo nurses a couple times during the night, but I sleep through it, so I don't know exactly how often.

My son is the most content, happy and easygoing little boy, untill it becomes dark and he has to sleep. Up untill 8 wks he waked up only once for me to feed him(I breastfed) and since then it has been nonstop waking every night for the past 6 mnths. Sometimes he wakes up every 5 minutes. We have tried everything possible. we took him to the doctor to see if there was something wrong, but the doctor said he is absolutely fine

you didnt say whether your little girl is eating solid food already? its just that a couple of months ago, my daughter started waking up around 3:30/4am when she had previously been sleeping through. The first few times it happened, i breastfed her and she'd go back to sleep for another couple of hours. then I realised, if shes wanting food in the night, it just means that she's not getting enough in the day! so i upped her meal portions, of her solid food, and she immediatley started sleeping through again and we havent had a problem since. anyhoo this might not be the case with your daughter, but thought id share, because sometimes the reasons are much simpler than they seem when you're not getting enough sleep!

my daughter is born on October 23rd and she goes to bed around 9h30, 10 PM and wakes up around 4 AM for breastfeeding and around 7 AM for good. She used to wake up a lot more times if we had agitated people around her, if she was not tired enough, if she didn't had enough to eat in the evening, etc ... there are multiple causes to this ... maybe a tooth is coming out :) this could be an explanation :)

My 8month old son doesn't sleep much. He Still wakes heaps in the night. We co sleep and it makes waking in the night easier. My friends make bad comments about co sleeping but it works for us.

they say that babies like it a little cooler in their beds which seems to be the case with my little one and they also tell you setting a step by step routine every night for bed is also a way to get them to sleep better through the night. my son only wakes up like one time through the night anymore, on occassion he has gotten up more, and it is to eat. I have taken his pacifier away but I give him water in a bottle in bed now. he seems to really enjoy that

my lil guy was sleeping really good through the night for a couple of months and then when he started teething this last time he started waking up in the middle of the night and really hasn't stopped... I think the pain of teething would wake him up and he just got back into that routine

I find that my 9month old daughter sleeps better in a cooler room, we live in Vegas and it gets very hot here so the AC is always set to 75-78. Her grandpa came over one day and said it was cold in her room and closed the AC vent to her room. She woke up twice as much for the next 2 days. when i oppened the vent and made it cooler she only woke up her usual 2-3 times a night for a bottle. Also the week her 2 teeth came in she ocasionaly woke up 4-5 times a night. im not sure if its just my kid, but she is an oven by herself at night so try ajusting the temp and see how that works, and if it drasticaly gets worse check for teeth.

My daughter still wakes at night, but it doesn't bother me so I don't pay it much mind. Some nights it's only once to eat, and some nights it's every thirty minutes unless she's in my arms. I've just been going with the flow, if it's bothering you though there are a lot of sleep training strategies out there to try.

My son is almost 9 months and wakes 2-3 times a night. Bed is at 7:30 and then he's up again between 10:30 and 11 almost like clock work. Sometimes he'll take the pacifier and go right back to sleep but mostly he just wants a few more ounces (even though he already drank a full bottle at bed). Then he's up again between 4 and 5 for more. I spoke with a public health nurse who suggested watering down the milk til its all water and supposedly that would deter him from waking up wanting to eat but now he just sucks back the water too! Its frustrating because he eats a lot and I know he's not hungry but I can't figure out how to break this habit!!

My little guy still wakes through the night, usually 3 times or so. In the first part of the night usually for cuddles or from wind but doesn't want a feed till around 3am. We co-sleep so it makes the frequent wakings somewhat easier, most days ;-)

I recommend "Baby Whisperers" It's all about sleeping problems and baby solutions. It is really helpful. There are lots of reasons of awakening babies at night. My son still wakes up at middle of night specailly 3am~5am and playing 1 or 1:30 hours. I feel really tired and sometimes get upset. But when I feel like that way, I have a deep breath, and make me calm down first. And then pretend I'm sleeping like a dead body.

Dont worry... I m in the same boat.. My daughter woke up nearly 10 -15times last night.. I am now reading the book No Cry Sleep Solution to get some tips which will reduce her night awakenings... If you find a solution, please share...
