My daughter has little red bumps on her face, chest, and neck. They don't seem to be causing any pain or discomfort. She is being breastfed. I want to know how to get rid of them. She has had these bumps for a while now. I've been giving her a massage with lotion in the morning and after her bedtime bath. Should I be taking her to the doctor?

All of the above answers could be all right but there is another possibility. Babies can also have little red bumps in those same areas and it is just heat rash. My two month old got it under her neck a little bit and keeping powder on it cleared it up. Just another maybe!!! God Bless

My daughter has those same bumps. (Or it at least sounds like what she has) I asked her doctor about it and he said it's clogged pores. Basically baby acne. It should be fine. But if you're really concerned about it, ask her doctor.

My daughter had the same thing. It was associated with her cradle cap. It didn't bother her and it went away on it's own.

my lil guy also has those spots, I think its normal as long as its not bothering them. He is 7 weeks and I also use the night time cream, but i dont think that causes them i think its normal.

babies get acne for a few months after their born. Like Amber said....your hormones were in their bodies...so they have some of the symptoms of puberty. It shouldn't be anything to worry about.

My son had the same thing. It's most likely the last of your hormones leaving her body. My son had a combination of that and dry skin. I used vasoline on him every night before bed and it cleared up with in a couple days.
