My son, born on 10-09-09, seems to be hungry all of the time! He'll sit in his high chair for 1-2 hours eating the whole time! He's mostly eating finger foods, except for yogurt. He's not overweight. In fact, he's in the 20th percentile for weight...Anyone else have a STARVING toddler?

My daughter was born 10-19-09 and eats everything. She will sit and eat her food then when we put her down she will walk to everyone in the room and take a bite from their plates. She is a skinny little thing. I have noticed that she tends to eat more when she is around a growth spurt.

I take my daughter to a parent-child classroom everyday and they provide snacks. Everyone is AMAZED at how much she can eat. I hope they don't assume I am starving her at home. She LOVES food and is also not overweight at all.

I find that if my son is in the high chair, he'll eat. If he isn't, he wont!! i mean, if i give him a peice of toast while he crawls, he'll have a chew, but he associates the chair with food. Not being in the chair (though like your Lo, he could sit in it for hours and eat and eat and eat if it's there) gives him an excuse to crawl and play. Pehaps 3 big meals a day and small snacks between, keeping the chair for main meals? They're also VERY keen on EVERYTHING around them, so if you have food, baby wants food; if you have a drink, baby wants drink! If you have a book? Yeah, you guessed, baby wants it too ;) And things always go in the mouth! they only discover it's edible because it taste nice and you don't stop them having it!!!! It's all good :D Fun times and growth spurts!

My son (born 10/15/09) won't sit still to eat but wants to eat everything, all day! He'll eat his breakfast, then want my breakfast, anytime I put anything in my mouth, even if he's eaten, he wants it!! He is also in the 20th percentile!!!

to keep my daughter fuller, longer i give her protein like chicken, turkey, and ham with her vegetables. for the meats, i put it in a blender to make it soft for her to chew and mix it up with something she likes to eat like eggs, mash potatoes, squash. it holds her over for a few hours.

My son is two and is oblivious to what he's eating, I in no way starve, the only thing that comes to mind is our little one's metabolisms and the fact that they burn off everything they eat while playing and running around......
