my little girl is the 25 and she has been walking with things for a few months now but she just seems really unsure of her self. she will even walk with something as small as a ball in her hands but as soon as she lets it go she sits down

My baby boy was born on Oct. 15th and started taking steps at about 9 months and has been walking all over the place on his own for about 2 weeks now!

my boy jett was born 1st oct and he can walk really fast along the edges of things and crawls fast too! he took a few steps by himself a few weeks ago and lets go of things and stands for ages unassited but think he has a little while b4 he is actually walking alone!!

My Daughter is 9 months and 2 weeks, she is walking along furniture and standing by her self only for a few seconds... She loves practice though :)

My son was born on october 17th took his first on father's day just started walking on his own this week he no longer need bribe to to make him walk....lol i was all over facebook about it.

Emma-Rose was born on the 29th and she's been pulling her self up for quit so time now and i have to say in the last 3-4 weeks she's been walking sideways but assisted. She has an older sister that she's trying to keep up with lol!!!

my oct 10th daughter has been walking along furniture since 7 months. She took her first 3 steps on Aug 11th. she seems a little scared to walk. she holds onto my hand or the couch. She will bend her knees to sit back down instead of falling, so I know it is not a balance issue.

my daughter was born 21st and took 3 steps several times last week, has done itt a comple of time since but mainly is insisting on holding on to one finger of my hand at the moment!

My little girl was born on October 19. she's well on her way to walking. She walks around furniture and can stand alone for about 30 seconds.

Wow. That's scary. We are nowhere near it. Harry has only just started commando crawling. If he's anything like his older sister, he'll be a late walker. Grace didn't start walking till she was 17 months.

my son was born on the 10th october, but he only stands. he is tryaing to walk only when he's hold something. but my housband walk when he was 9,5 months old!

My daughter was born on the 19th of Oct. She has been walking along furniture and pulling up on everything and everyone since two days after she started crawling which was a little over 3 months ago. she takes tenative steps between my husband and I, but will not do it on her own yet. She has gone from walking with both our hands to just holding one of our hands. I think she just needs to build up her confidence and she will be up and going in no time. I encourage her as much as I can and when she does take a few steps on her own we both praise her till she smiles or laughs. I look to be running after her real soon, lol.

my twin girls were also born Oct 20. they are both crawling really fast, both stand holding on to things and one of my daughters is walking holding on to things like the couch, or the side of her crib. the other one has not tried to walk yet

My daughter was born on the 20th, started crawling at 6 months and has been pulling herself up and walking along furniture and will walk when im holding onto one hand, but knows she can get where she wasnts fast by crwling. my oldest now 3 didnt crawl much started to crawl at 8 months and was walking by 9 months. it just depends on the child. also my oldest always like to be in a jumper or stanind up sine she was 3 months and my youngest never liked to be standin up but on her belly more.

Our son is almost 10 1/2 mths and isn't walking yet. He's just starting to stand on his own and that makes us very happy! Our 2 older boys were walking very well by 11mths. Our youngest may not be there by that age but who knows. Every baby is different also so who cares when he starts walking, he will get it when he's ready and that's all that matters!

Leilani was born in october 9th and she has been standing ever since she started crawling just before 6 months. Prob about 7 months she was cruising at 7 months and began taking independent steps at 8 months. Saturday she mastered being able to stand up from the ground without pullin up on things and now she's just full time walking!

She has always been ahead of all her friends, even in size. Her 9 months appointment she was 21.5 lbs and 30" tall!!

Bella was born the 22nd of Oct and she started walking on July 28th, so she was nine months too. Gosh it is amazing how fast they grow!

Yes, my daughter was born on 10/07 and she started walking unassisted at 9months 3wks. Today she will get up and start walking around the house and outside on the porch. She is even walking up the stairs by herself, i had to get gates for the top and bottom of my stairs.

My Tiffany was born October 3rd 2009 & she is been walking since she is 8 months (almost 2 months now) she doesn't even crawl no more! My other 2 walked when they were about 1 year! Tiffy started early =)

Owen has been walking for about 2 weeks now, he was born Oct 3. Now he does laps around the house and he's just excited as i was he knows its a big deal. He just came walking down the hallway from his room one day his dad and i were shocked. I was such a pround parent!

We're in the same boat as you Tiffany...my daughter Skyla was born the 9th of Oct. and she just started to crawl about 2 weeks ago. But since then she has learned to pull herself up on the couch, chairs, end tables, even doors! She walks along the couch and her play table and walks while holding our hands. She can stand without holding anything for up to 10 seconds or so but gets kinda excited then looses her balance. But she is advancing SO fast everyday that I expect her to walk by 12 months if not earlier. I see it might take longer for them to have the confidence to take their first steps according to other moms on here. Each baby is different though. Skyla has liked to stand since 2 weeks old and started in her jumper at 3 months. I didn't expect her to really want to crawl but I think she likes the independence...now I just have to wait and see if that makes her walk LATER or if she won't be satisfied with being on the floor. So, our girls may take awhile or walk in a couple weeks. Either way...we're in for some real changes and a lot of chasing!! ;)

My daughter Amaya was born on October 16th. She walks along furniture, but was a late crawler. She loves her jumeperoo, and so she is always trying to stand on her tip toes lol. I think it may be awhile before she walks. She is starting to let go of the couch though and just stand holding nothing for a few seconds. A lot of babies start at around 9 months though. =)

my oct 30 baby starts walking but only by holding table or bed..he can stand by himself again by any suport...he cannot even stand without holding any thing just for few sec he try to stood by by him self lets c when he will walk...

Our Oct.23rd baby is pulling himself up on furniture and motoring around on his hands and knees, but no walking yet! He occasionally gets brave enough to let go of the furniture, then balances for a few seconds before falling on his bum. Good luck with your little mobile one!

Harry was born 2nd Oct 09...he has been walking unaided for almost 3 weeks - ive just got him his first proper pair of walking shoes !! People look at me like im crazy when I tell them he has just turned 10 months. He was 2 weeks late though and i sometimes wonder if that counts x

I've gotten a lot of suggestions that my son is ADHD as well. I think they are just full of energy! You can't tell this early! My son is just curious && wants to be in the middle of everything!

My son was born October 20th as well and he's been walking for about a month now. He's started sitting up on his own, crawling up on all fours, && standing in his 5th month. But he's really lightweight, only weigh's about 17 lbs now.

Yes my little one is crazy about walking, always pushed to stand from very young and stood around 6months. Now she is busy taking proper steps at 9 months on her own. Do you find people say that your baby shouldn't be walking yet, some have even suggested she will have ADHD because she has never crawled. i've tried heaps but she's not intrested. I think she's happy so leave her to it but there are so many busy bodies out there it can get upsetting.

Our son was born on 19th October. He has been walking holding our hands for about 6 weeks, and lately he has been trying to let go of our hands. For the last week or so, he's been trying to stand alone and even trying to take a step. I know that he has to do it, but it's sooo nerveracking!

My niece walked at 9 months. Pretty amazing if you ask me. My daughter was born Oct. 23, 2009 and is able to pull herself up...she acts like she wants to walk but isn't sure of herself yet. You should be very proud of your baby!

My son was born on the 25th of October, 2009 and he started walking about two weeks ago. Just yesterday he started running. I can't believe it! I was counting on a couple more months of crawling! Good luck with your little one!

Sophie is starting to pull up, but not close to walking. I wanted to say though my mom said both my sister's and I all walked at 9 months and never crawled. So I guess it can happen that early! =o)
