My baby boy was a month premature born Oct 20th...he rolled over once but hasn't again My question is when is the average age a baby rolls over? I know every baby is different but I would like to be aware of what other baby's experienced.

My son is 4 months old and does not roll over yet. I know he is perfectly fine and he will roll when he is ready.

You gotta remember, when a baby is born a month early, you shouldn't be worried if he's a month 'behind' developmentally (doesn't sound like he is anyways) because he had to catch up on a month of growing to get to where other babies are when they are born. The difference should disappear by age 2 - if not before.

One thing you have to understand, when babies do something once, that don't mean that they're gonna do it continously right away, it takes a while for them to get it. My son was born on oCt 24th, and he rolled over last week Sunday for the first time; A half roll that is. He still is doing it every now and again since then, and he also is trying to stand up when you hold him. He also surprised me last night, when he tried to reach for his pacifier; I was holding it in front of his mouth to see if he would, and he did! He seems to be more advanced than my daughter was at his age.

My son just turned 4 months and rolls from his belly to his back and his back to his belly. Everyone says that hes too young to do it, but I think OH well he does it. Its not like i taught him he just sarted doing it on his own. Some babies are just stronger than others naturally.

My little guy just did it on the 4th of Feb for the first time, he was just shy of 14wks. He's only done it once since then. Yesterday he was trying hard but his arm got in the way, poor little fella got all frustrated at his arm and not being able to do it.

My daughter rolled over from back to front for her first time tonight! Her second time she did it like a pro. She is 2 days away from being 4m. I would think this is average time to be able to do it

Hello! I asked this question also. My little girl started rolling over from stomach to back at 2.5 months. Then at 3 months she started rolling over from back to stomach. And now she's a pro roller! She'll be 4 months next week. I thought that it was way too early for her to start rolling around. And I found out that it's pretty early for that. I read that around 2.5-4 months babies start rolling from their stomachs to their backs and from 4-6 months is when babies start rolling from back to stomachs.

my son is 3 months and he rolled once from his belly to his back like your little one. He hasn't done it since but i believe it is around 3 -4 months from belly to back but not untill about 6 months from back to belly. I had premature twins and they hit all their milestones at about the right age! Hope that helps!
