Where does your baby nap during the day?

With me, my son mostly naps in my arms in the burp position, or in my lap after nursing. I can put him down on a blanket on our couch after he falls asleep. With my husband, he only falls asleep in him arms, and then they nap together on the couch. But, we have a very smooth, flat leather couch. The cushions don't come off the couch so no cracks for the baby to fall into. My baby hates being put down, and used to wake up within minutes of us putting him in the swing and scream. He also sleeps in the Moby wrap when we're out and about.

It varies on the day...if she just falls asleep I leave her where she is...but if I can catch her at the right time, I put her up in her crib! Then I can get things done (with the moniter)...I also have a moses basket...a bigger one that she still fits in.

my lil1 is the same she has lil 10 min cat naps!she will go to sleep in her bouncer,il jusy give her a bottle,blanket n bounce her a lil n shes away!! x

When I put my daughter down for a nap she always goes in her crib. Sometimes I don't make it to her before she falls asleep so sometimes she falls asleep in her swing.

I have a pack n play (play pen) that has the bassinet part, it goes across the whole thing so she has plenty of room, still in it and my daughter loves sleeping in it.

My son is on a three nap schedule. He sleeps from 8pm-6am and then 3 1-2 hour naps a day.

I have twins and knew I needed to get them on a sleep schedule early on, a friend gave me a great book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child (the twin version) by Marc Weissbluth and it made a huge difference! Both my babies now sleep in their cribs for all naps and it has helped to lenghten their naps. His big mantra is sleep begets sleep, they are now napping 3 times a day and then going down for the night by 6:30 and sleeping until 7:00am. It's worth the read

My daughter sleeps in her crib at every nap! Sometimes she falls asleep in my arms but I wake her up and go lay her down in her crib. It helps her to sleep through the night in her own bedroom and own bed!

I put my baby in his crib while he is still awake and turn on his little Rainforest toy thing and give him a pacifier and he falls alseep for his nap.

we have a variable recline bouncer chair for my daughter's little cat naps after her feeds, but i put her in her cot in the nursery after her lunchtime feed and she can sleep for anything up to 2 hours, it took a while for her to settle into that routine though, like most things with babies, it takes time to establish pretty much everything!

Samething here , but what I did Was bought a thin foam and set a place in the living room.

Like Moroccan sitting.I also put her in her pram as well .good luck

Sounds completely normal, she's not having problems sleeping! (to the mummy that said it)

Maybe try a bean bag or a big floor vision that way if there's any rolling bunny won't get hurt, no strapping in required!

If you decide to try the couch just remember to pop some pillows on the floor x

My daughter is also very easy and would sleep just about anywhere..
During the day i also dont see a point of puttin her in her crib in her bedroom because she doenst nap for very long..
So I usually just let her nap on the couch but now thats shes starting to roll and i'm worried about her rolling off she has one of those small pull out foam kids sofas.. that i just unfold and let her nap on, then i fold it back up and push it into the corner..

My son is actually very easy - he will sleep anywhere ;) So we are lucky for now. We have the bouncy chair, the swing, the boppy pillow on the couch, or sometimes the crib. I do find that if I put him in the crib, he will have a much shorter nap. He does sleep through the night most of the time in the crib, so I let him nap pretty much where ever.

Have you asked her doctor? My 5 month old son used to have trouble with nap time too, still kinda does, but has gotten better. My doctor said it is okay at 4-5 months to go ahead and let them cry it out. Some mommies have a hard time with thime. This is my second son and he is deffinately different. I like him to take 2 hhrs but he wakes up at about 1 hr. What I do is turn on his sound bear, pat his back a little and leave the room. He cries a little bit more and goes back to sleep for another hour. This helps at night too. I was spending upto an hour with rocking him and swaying him to sleep before only to have him wake as soon as I put him down. I was very frustrating. Consult your pediatrician though. There may be other methods.

No she's never liked being swaddled, even as a newborn. There's some good points there though. I put her down awake at night but i never thought to do this in the day as well.
I don't have a swing so i might keep an eye on her patterns and put her in her cot in the nursery.

My 5 month old baby boy usually naps either in his swing or crib if we're at home and in his car seat if we're on the go. I try to mix it up so that he'll be able to take his nap anywhere, anytime, anyplace. One place he won't nap though is in the nursery at the gym because there are too many other things going on for him to watch and he loves it there.

I put my grand-daughter down on a pillow on the living room floor...or in her pack n play...she will nap for an hour or better most days...she takes one mid morning...and then another around 2pm just before her mom comes to pick her up...I usually rock her in my arms before hand...

In her cot, she would sleep anywhere, but I like keeping her in the routine of going to sleep and waking in her own bed! It is really hard to break the habbit of going to sleep in a pram or a swing when they get older! Do you swaddle your little girl? My 3rd child is 4 1/2 months old and sleeps really well during the day when she is swaddled, if I don't do it she sleeps maybe 20mins compared to the 1 1/2 - 2hrs if she is! Do you rock your baby to sleep and then try to put her down? That is another habbit that is hard to break, if you do rock her, it could be she is waking herself because she can't feel the closeness when you put her down! I hope things work out, it is frustrating dealing with sleep situations, good luck!

i was having trouble with my 5 month old. she only napped for 15-30min 3 times a day. i would put her in her swing or leave her sleeping in my arms. but ever since we put her in her play pen in her dark room she sleeps for 30min to an hour twice a day. it didnt happen over night but the darkness helps soo much. she is also sleeping better through the night.

I put my son in his crib we have the monitors so i have no worries.. or if he happens to fall asleep down stairs i let him sleep in his swing.. mostly crib though..

i have three boys 5 3 in may and 5 months.....i keep a bassenet im my living room...i put him in it or if you bottle feed i will put him in his bouncer right before he goes to sleep and if he stirs enough to wake i feed him a little more while hes in his seat and he will fall right back asleep....swings normally work for most babies because of constant movement....but my other boys think they need to swing him so he doesnt get that luxury anymore......

We have a crappy nap routine right now. I'd I can get her to nap it's a blessing. Sometimes it's in her swing, sometimes I take her for a walk or drive or nurse her to sleep. Today she napped for an hour and a half (yay). I truly have no idea how to get her on a better nap routine. We are out and about most days so when we are home I think we both get out of sorts. I hope to start working kn napping soon.

We usually just put her in her bouncy chair. It's reclined and offers subtle movement if she starts to stir, which helps lengthen the cat naps. She's strapped in and secure and we are able to keep her in our main living area with us instead of running back and forth to her nursery.
