I'm 39 weeks in two days...This is my first prenancy so obviously everything is a first for me..and I'm wondering how I can tell if i've lost my mucus plug yet..because I am not sure if I have or if I haven't yet.

i'm 36weeks and have been wondering the same thing. from all the research i've done some woman even first timers may not loose it until the go into labor , you can ask your doctor or midwife they will be able to tell when they check you.

Mucus plug is a jellatenous clear blob with normally a blood streak through it that you normally find on the tissue when you wipe after a pee. Sometimes it comes away as one blob sometimes it breaks down and comes away in peices. It is totally normal. There is no need to go to hospital unless your waters break in one big gush or you lose a trickle of clear liquid constantly.
