Hi everyone,

Im Jeannie and im due on the 28th May! Were very excited.

Last week however I started experiencing some very heaving bleeding and bad cramps. My partner took me to Emergency and by the amount of blood and pain we were convinced that we lost our little one at 13 weeks. They put the ultrasound on my belly and there was the little guy/girl playing with his feet and with a strong heart rate of 171bpm. We were told that the bleeding had stopped and i had experienced a "threatened miscarraige". I rested for a couple of days and then 2 days ago i started spotting. Went to my doctor this time and he said i shouldnt be worried about it, and theres really nothing they can do if something does happen.

This is terrifying for me. Our little bub was not planned at all. You could call it a little miracle who defied all odds of contraception and after alot of freaking out have come to love and adore it.To go through all that and then have the possibility of it being taken away seems so unfair.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this in their current pregnancy or previous pregnancy?

I found out at 12 weeks that I had subchronic bleeding. The ultrasound dectected it...the doctor sent me for a second ultrasound a few weeks later and the bleeding had stopped. Everything is ok now...And, for my first pregnancy, I did have a little bleeding at around 12 weeks, and everything turned out ok. I hope everything will be ok...I got myslef a doppler on ebay (about 50$), and I check everyday if I can hear the heartbeat...it calms me down...

Hi Sarah! I hope everything turns out ok for you! Just take it easy! Mine seems to have settled down alot now but ive been very careful on everything i do. We can cross our fingers together!

Hi,
My name is Sarah and I am now 15 weeks. The exactly same thing happened to me at 13 weeks. A threaten miscarriage and then about a week later started spotting. My doctor has put me on bed rest till January in hopes to let my uterus calm down and sort itself out and baby to get bigger and stronger. It has taken several years for me to get pregnant so I don't want to take risks. There is some hope I would suggest trying to relax as much as possible, no lifting, and try to think as positive as you can. Good luck to all 3 of you :)

Thats wonderful that it all healed itself! The ultrasound hasnt shown up anything for me so im just hoping its just one of those things that happens that doesnt cause any problems.

I'm sorry you are going through this right now, how very scary for you. :(
I went through something similar with my first, I had some heavy bright red spotting/bleeding. I went in for a emergancy ultrasound and it turned out I had a small placenta abrution. When I went back 2 weeks later it had healed. Baby was just fine, and he is now a happy healthy 2 year old. Hopefully this is what you are experancing.

Fingers crossed everything is ok.
