I just went in for my son's 4 month appointment and he weights 14 lbs 10 oz and is a little over 25 in long. How much did your kids weigh and how tall where they at 4 months??

Hey Holly,
Yes i delivered naturally. I was induced a week early because of my blood pressure. My Doctor said she had no idea the baby was so big. No scans picked up her size. I was told with my height and weight that i would have a baby no bigger than 8lb. ( i am 130lb and 5 foot 4). They certainly got that wrong. I eventually asked for the epidural. I am so glad i did now!!!!

Oh, wanted to add that ALL of my kiddos are on the smaller side just by genes I guess. I was TINY until high school. Then I gained my weight. Mikey is 28 pounds at two years 4 months. He stays JUST above the 5th overall percentile for height and weight combined! He is tall and skinny. He survives mainly on milk still even at age two and rarely eats. He generally only eats one cereal bar per day and 3-10 bites of food at every meal. He still does not sleep through the night and at least 5 nights a week when he wakes up in the middle of the night he asks for a cup of milk to go back to sleep. :)

Kev has always been a good eater, he isn't supplemented by anything. We just got the go ahead to start rice cereal so we'll be doing that soon. He is big for his age but very proportionate (sp). All of my children have been in the 90th percentile for weight but as they get mobile they shed their babyfat and have all become beanpoles.

My son was 12 lbs 12 oz and 25 in at his 4 month appt. And it's kinda frustrating when your reading some of these blogs about mothers wanting advice on feeding their 4 month old rice cereal and seeing them at a similar height but weighing a lot more. They must have hefty, i mean big boned, children or are doing something else to supplement their child.

Kevin just went yesterday and he is 17lbs 12oz, 24.5ins. He is wearing primarily 9 months clothes with a few 6-9's thrown in there.
