We had our first son Oct 19, 2007 then our second Nov. 5, 2009 then finally our youngest and last Nov. 29, 2011. I chose to "get fixed" since all three were csections and way to many complications with this last pregnancy. Funny thing is we didnt plan ANY of them, but we are very happy how close in age they are since my husband has one brother that is 4yrs younger and I am the youngest of three (7yrs older then 4 yrs older) and none of us have as close of a bond as our three.

I have an 8mos old daughter and we are thinking about having our second child by the time she turns one... perhaps in the summer. It was difficult for us to conceive and at one point we even stopped trying. Our daughter has given meaning to our life and I can't imagine our life any other way. I expressed my thoughts about having another child, at least two years apart, to some of my friends. One of my friends was all for it... her response: YES!! GO FOR IT! GET IT OVER WITH!! Another response: You shouldn't because kids tend to suffer from attention deficit disorder and you will be to blame. Your child needs all of your attention and while you are caring for your baby your two year old will feel lost! I didn't agree with this statement and perhaps I agreed to disagree. The individual who made the comment is the only girl in her family and although she is 5 years older than me, she is a bit immature. She was the "spoiled" child in her family of five and perhaps it justifies why she would make such a comment. Until this day she has resentment and holds grudges if and when things are not going her way. She has issues stemming from her childhood that I cannot relate with. I am the middle of three children and I don’t suffer from any disorder… in fact I couldn’t care less for attention and couldn’t wait to leave my house to be on my own. This particular individual is awfully selfish and for more reasons than the obvious doesn’t want anyone to “shine” but herself. It’s great to be able to discuss and debate over anything and everything in life but at the end of the day you make your own decision. You should know what’s best for you… considering you are in the right state of mind and competent to keep the safety of your family in your best interests.

My Nov. '09 baby was my third, and I am now expecting number 4 in July. We had talked about it, and agreed that after 2011 we would take the steps to prevent having any more kids; so i guess this one was just meant to be.

There is 15 months between my oldest daughter and my son, then 3 years (almost to the day), between him and his little sister; and she will be 2years and 8 months old when this baby comes along. (Really hoping for a boy). Its nice to have them all close in age, the oldest are very close and when little sis came into the picture, they were able to help. Now this time, big sis will be in school full time, so I dont see her being quiet as into the baby as her brother. But, she could just want to be the 'little mommy' when she is home.

My little man will be two on Friday, and we're 26 weeks along with a little girl! Told hubby if we were meant to have 2 kids I wouldn't want them anymore than 2.5 years apart. they'll be about 2 years and 3 months :)

My kids weren't born in November but I have a 3 year old a 19 month old and a 9 month old.The two older children are very close and like to play together lots I think they will have a great relationship as the get older. And they seem to have taken on the role of taking care of the baby together like getting him toys, a blanket etc..

I just started up a group called "Mom's Fair" kind like an online second hand place where you can have your own photo album there with photos of used but in good condition things like clothes, toys, shoes, strollers  from your infant/toddler/kids that you might want to sell to other moms or even exchange. Please join us and invite other moms friends with you to join us as well. Here is the link to the group and thank you so much! http://www.facebook.com/groups/146728462...

My brother and I are 2yrs9mths apart which was and still is great. I had my first in dec 2009 and my next in march this year (2011) not my ideal situation having them only 15mths apart but you know what? I wouldn't change it! Alex looks after his little sister even though he's not 2 yet and Abbie looks up to him, crawls around after him and giggles everytime he comes near her.
It was so scary at first but so amazing now

i have heard the best time to have another baby is about 5 years old... i on the other hand think that the closer the age the better :) but i guess it could go either way because me and my youngest sibling are 12 years apart and we get along so very well :) mabe because we are the only girls of 6 children :)

My husband and I are going to wait until our son is about 3.5 years to start trying again. So if I got pregnant right away, they would be 4 years 3 months apart. Now, that is kind of to spread apart for my liking, however I can't imagine trying to conceive when my son was 2.5 and having him be three when our next is born. I want my son to be out of diapers first. It just costs to much and I'm hoping to cloth diaper the next baby. Also, right now we are in a 2 bedroom apartment, so we figure we will stay here until either we start trying or until close to the birth of the next baby. I also wanted him to be old enough to go to preschool (at least a couple days a week, if affordable) so I will be able to have one on one time with the new baby and when I have them home together, he will be old enough to understand that I have to breastfeed his sister so I can't play with him. Also (and you probably will think I am nuts) I have decided that the next baby should be born in Feb, March or April. I don't want the second baby too close to my son's birthday, the pressure of having a November birthday is enough, what with buying a Halloween costume beforehand, then Christmas after. And if the baby is born during the hot days of summer, then it will be hard to take my son to the park because newborns should not be out in hot temps. for a great length of time.

I was actually just thinking that maybe we would just have our son and be done. That does sound good to me, especially with not having those infant months again. However, I really want to try for a girl and I do miss the cuddle times since my son does not like to cuddle now. So taking a couple more years to think about it is a good thing.

i have a 2yeard old he was born feb.26,2009 and i had a lil girl girl right after she was born mach 19,2010. its a lil more hard for me being that my lil girl was born with disabilitys. but my first two where one year apart also and they were more easy to take care of. now i have four and its really hard. i suggest that you space them out a lil so that you can enjoy them and give your body some time to get it self back to normal.

I have my almost 2 year old 11-20-09 and I got pregnant again when he was 5 months old. So now I have a almost 2 year old Kobe and an almost 1 year old Kelan (1-25-11). To all of you moms out there....I do not suggest doing this. My pregnancy was pretty easy as far as healthy wise goes but I was super irrated alot because It was completly exhausting taking care of a baby and being pregnant. I have a niece who is now 4 and she is such a big helper. I think 2 years apart almost 3 is perfect. Good luck.

BTW I wouldn't change a thing I love my boys but it does get hectic sometimes and now my 2 year old is having problems with his speech and I feel its my fault because i didn't have the quality time to sit with him alone to work with him on it. We are getting there they are 14 months apart and Love love love them to pieces.

I am not having any more, since I already have 5 kids, but for spacing them, I think 2-3 years is a good range, mostly cus changing 2 sets of diapers is not fun and can get expensive! My two oldest are 18 months apart and changing two sets sucked, but they actually potty trained at the same time and that made potty training easier. The middle two are about 2 1/2 years apart and only had to change two sets of diapers for about a half a year, so not so bad. They get along a lot better than I did with my sister (who is almost 6 years older than me) I think keeping the ages close is a great idea, just not TOO close together! (moms need breaks!)
