Does anyone else seem to be hitting the oh-so well known "terrible-two's" phase? My daughter (god-bless and love her!) is testing our patience with every little thing possible. Now, mind you - at daycare or when hanging out at my mother's or a play-date, she is an absolute angel. Does anyone else seem to have this problem?

I get so overwhelmed at times. I understand its normal, I try to be as patient as possible. But, I tell you what - there are times when I just want to sit down right next to her and start kicking and screaming myself lol. Her new thing is leaving the daycare. She used to get so excited seeing me walk through the door, now she runs and hides and pitches a fit the whole way to the car.

Mine is doing the same. It seems to be more of an inability to control emotions. I often have her sit for a bit just so it gives her a chance to calm down. She goes nuts if you don't play just right; sometimes it can take a good 10-15 min to calm her down. What I find really funny is that she'll ignore me when she's really in trouble; and then freak out thinking she's in big trouble when she did something small or by accident.
One good thing I've heard is that the worse they are in toddlerhood the better they are in the teenage years.

same here! my daughter listens to others well but if i say no she just keeps doing it! so frustrating.. some days i swear my daughter lives in time out lol ill let her out of timeout and she goes straight back to doing the bad thing she just did ugh!

Yes, Zoe's just hit the 'its mine' phase and 'i want it' phase. Its soooo frustrating, but i know its normal. She cracks a hissy fit when she doesn't get what she wants, but will eventually get over it. I try not to give in to her, cuz i know it will get worse as she gets older and would like to nip it in the butt sooner rather than later. She's worse when we are at her Nanna's cuz nanna always gives her what she wants. We were over there for dinner the other night and she wouldn't eat anything and just wanted her chocolate milo milk, but we wouldn't budge and made her eat at least some of her dinner b4 she got it. It took her ages to finally eat some but she did evenutally. Patience and consistency i think is the key.
