Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Expecting November 2009 community, where we chat about our November 2009 children and whatever else is on our minds!

To get things started, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves in this thread, which will be pinned to the community home page. Whether you're a Circle of Moms veteran or you're new to the site, let us know who you are, what you’re interested in, and what your lovely November 2009 child is up to right now, developmentally speaking!

Hi my name is Siara. I had my son Ashton on Nov 14th 2009. He was a week early and i couldn't of been happier about that :) now hes 20 months and is just going and going and going. its so amazing. Hes is an only child right now, i do want to have another one but not sure when i want to have it. Maybe when hes out of diapers and a little more independent. I had a great pregnancy and labor. The only thing i hated was the weight i gained but thats still coming off. My labor was only for 11 hours and i only had to push for like 20 mins. The nurse was GREAT and said taht shes never had a first time mom have the baby so fast.. the lady in the room next to me pushed for like 2 hours. i'm soo sorry and i couldn't imagine. I'm exited to be able to talk to other moms that have sons my age.

What a great idea. Hi I'm Kaz from Cape Town. I'm 42, married for the 3rd time and had my son at 40. He is now 2 born on 8 May 2009(No not Nov). I've been part of COM for a while but only actively took part since yesterday and i am enjoying the chats and the people very much. Nicholas is in educare finally and we have just passed the seperation anxiety stage and am now enjoying the changes in him (good changes). I think the age they are at now is so aweseome, we learn from them so much and return the joy of them learning and us experiencing all that is magical. So far the advice, caring and friendships on this site is a great experience and I look forward to chatting to each one of you and sharing ideas, worries and fears. Go well and Lisa thanks again for this new site.

Hi ladies. I'm also new to this group. My little girl, Megan Grace, was born on November 5, 2009. She's not walking yet (but she is cruising along the walls and furniture etc and is quite happy to walk if she's holding my hand. She just doesn't want to go off on her own. I took her to an OT who said she's got "hypermobility" which means that the ligaments in her hips are longer and looser than they should be, so she doesn't feel too stable on her legs. We've been doing exercises to strengthen her hips and her core tummy muscles etc, and 2 days ago, she walked about 6 steps on her own!! Yay!!! She hasn't done it since though, but I'm sure that walking for real is only a few days away. I'm so excited I could burst!

I'm Emily. I'm a Circle of Moms veteran... sort of. I'm a stay at home mom so I have a lot of free time to spend with my girls, Ariel (age 4) and Celine (age 17 months). I like taking them to the park, the beach, walking along the Portland Waterfront, hitting the Saturday Market on the weekends, and arranging playdates. My personal interests include writing music and poetry, singing, dancing, checking out local bands, and (guilty!) blogging. My little Celine, at this very moment, is sitting next to me making a mess of herself. She's eating spagetti with red sauce for lunch & loving every minute of it. She knows when it's time for a diaper change (and is almost ready to start potty training!). She can say what she wants (boo boo, up, down, eat, sleep, and ba ba). And she's surpassed walking... she RUNS now! She's already starting to recognize numbers and letters and is pretty cocky about showing this skill off. She's my star :)

My name is Maryanne. My daughter, Amanda was born November 23,2009. She is my little surprise blessing. I have four grown sons: 23,22,21 and 15 years old. My husband of 25 years and I were looking forward to what we thought was coming next, empty house and grandchildren. Little did we know that the menopausal symptoms I was having was from pregnancy. When I finally went to the dr. I was almost 9 weeks pregnant. We were all in shock for a long time. When I gave birth to my precious baby girl I was 44 years old, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Amanda is the love of our life and she is completely doted on by her brothers and daddy.

I work at a Child Development Center and worked up until the last minute before the baby was born. I went back to work part time in April, when there was a place for her in the nursery. It's very nice to be able to take my baby to work with me.

Amanda has her two bottom teeth. I started making baby food for her at 5 months and she is such a good eater. She doesn't crawl on her knees yet, but she gets around by sliding on her tummy. She does pull herself up to standing and walks while holding on to your fingers. She loves to jump and dance and she is a born performer. She loves attention and thinks all applause is for her.

Hello my name is Belinda!
My one and only son, Xavier Denzel Crocker, was born on November 15, 2009!
Xavier started crawling up our stairs at five months old.
By six months he was crawling all over the place.
Just a week after he turned eight months he took his first step.
Now he is crawling, walking, dancing, clapping his hands along to Sesame Street, and drumming to music.
Everyday I am even more amazed by him.

I gained a total of sixty pounds threw the pregnancy.
Up until the last month of my pregnancy with Xavier, I felt extremely happy and glowing.
Still, I did have hip, back and rib; pains.
After giving birth I had a hard time with Post Pardum.

Now a days I go to school for an average of two hours every other morning during the week.
I plan on getting an Associates in Multimedia in the next two years.
After that I plan on furthering my education and hopefully widen my opportunities, and capabilities to further provide for my son and give him everything he desearves.

I spend my days playing, learning, and exploring with Xavier.

I look forward to being a mom for the rest of my life, and almost feel like I was born to be a Mom!

We live in Perth, Australia and have relocated here from South Africa. In Nov we'll be here 3 years. We have no family here but luckily have good friends. It is very difficult for everybody as they miss out on so much. She is crawling like crazy and chatters all the time. She is pulling herself up against everything and has had a few tumbles already the poor thing. She is such a happy baby. She keeps me busy all day especially now that she is mobile. We love her to bits and can't wait for our holiday in Dec in South Africa. The grandparents miss her a lot and they are going to spoil her so much. I send photos almost every day and we skype a lot.

Hi. My name is Leslie. I am a stay at home mom of three children. My oldest son is almost 7, I have a daughter who's 4, and I had our youngest son, Samuel Isaac, on 11/30/09. I had a CSection with my oldest son due to placenta previa. My daughter I did a V=bac with and was in labor with her for 34 hours. I planned to go au natural with her, but after 26 hours I couldn't take the pain and my hubby convinced me to do the epidural. We had planned on only having two children but then I hit 30 and decided I wanted one more before it was too late. I got pregnant and ended up having a miscarriage. A year later I was blessed with Sam and i had him with only some pain killers. So i've pretty much tried/done everything now, and we are definately done having children. As much as I love and cherish my children, three is definately handful enough for me! Glad to be part of the group and getting to know you all!

Hello, my name is Amanda, and I am new to this site. My daughter Kayleigh was born on November 9th, 2009, and she is the most perfect baby in the world. She has always been a great sleeper, and typically only cries when she needs something, no colic or anything. She is currently blabbering baby sounds such as da, ma, na, etc.. and starting crawling a few weeks ago. We think she will be walking here shortly, because she's already pulling up on things to get to a standing position, and can stand on her own for a few seconds at a time. This past weekend she actually got up to a standing position, just using her legs, not holding onto anything. She has her 9 month checkup next week, so I'll be interested to see how much she weighs now and all that fun stuff!

He really likes to go, once he figured out how to crawl he just went. He has been all over the place. He says a couple of things, like moma, dada, and the other day out of the blue he said men?! Haha. We were watching two and a half men it was amazing yet weird all at the same time. He is a bundle of joy, and a really great baby. I still, however, have a little bit of trouble trying to get him to sleep all through the night, though he has been getting better. Hope it starts happening soon.
