My 10 month old has been a fantastic eater until now.......he has decided he will not eat sandwiches or toast! I have tried lots of fillings etc. Anyone have any other ideas on what I can give him?

Thanks

My daugher loves couscous, and it cooks in only 5 minutes. It is a good base to mix vegies or meat in too. And there is all different varities.

Koko wants to eat what we eat, what's on the table. She grabs her bread (with no fillings) by herself, she likes rice and pasta, she adores yogurt, especially in the morning, she eats her banana (the very small ones) by herself, and she's crazy about fish. I make her try and taste everythink she's interested in, except coffee, or pure sugar, or anything I consider bad for her health. But, I take her interest in food very easy, since I still breastfeed her, therefore I'm sure she's getting all the nutrients that she needs. The rest is fun, enjoyment and exploration.

Another thing I just thought of -- my DS LOVES spices. If I give him something bland he doesn't like it (ie, plain scrambled eggs) but if I put black pepper or cheese on it, whole different story. Same for most foods I give him, the more spices (not heat just flavour), the better. His Mac 'n Cheese (which he gobbles up) is made with english mustard and a little cayenne pepper! Have you tried adding a bunch of spices to his food?

Meghan eats just about anything......which doesn't help you though :) I give her usually a vegimite sandwich, but also chicken nuggets, fish fingers, a jar of baby food mixed with some pasta and extra vegies, pieces of fruit, yoghurt, she loves mac and cheese too. Babycentre.com has some reciepes for babies if you wanted to try something different. One thing i tried too that i thought was strange, but turned out nice, Mash banana and avocado together and then add some baby cereal, Meghan loved that. I also puree a bit of fruit and mix it with the baby cereal so that she doesn't get "blocked up" from it :) I hope your bubba likes something from everyones wonderful suggestions :)

Yoghurt - plain or with fruit (blackberries, strawberries, any kind of berry!), grated apple with cinnamon, baked sweet potato mash, steamed mix veg (broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, beans) with grated cheddar cheese on top, rotini pasta or rice with steamed veg and baby pasta sauce, and rice cakes with full fat cream cheese -- all big lunchtime faves of my DS. Also, bananas are his 'fast food' for lunch on the go.

My son Joey has been a great eater so far. For lunches, he eats noodles, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, fruit. He loves waffles, pancakes and french toast, which could certainly be a lunch item and not just breakfast! Carrots are by far his favorite vegetable!

I also give my son raisin bread, well cooked pasta, baked beans, black beans, all kinds of fruits, canned peas and carrots, mashed potatoes, yogurt, cheese, pretty much whatever we eat that would be safe for him to handle. Sometimes (like in the case of mashed potatoes) I feed him with a spoon, which luckily he still allows.

My son is a terrible eater. The one thing he will always eat is Gerber's Lil' Crunchies. :( On good days though, he likes scrambled eggs, rasin bread, peas, watermelon, can chicken and mashed potatoes.

My daughter eats a lot of what we eat and it's often similar to what she eats for dinner. She eats a lot of pastas, sliced fruits and veggies, scrambled eggs. Some of her favorites are sliced avocado, sweet potatoes, tofu (she's not a big meat eater), blueberries and blackberries.

If he's good with chunks and biting, then I love to give my girls bread sticks and rice crackers (with a variety of toppings!) they love them and they're healthy too :o)

addison has peas, diced carrots or green beans along with different small pastas (i.e., rotini, frozen ravioli) for lunch or dinner fairly frequently. she likes scrambled eggs, diced strawberries, blueberries and cheerios for breakfast. of course, the dog is a fan of all these finger foods since she chucks her leftovers on the floor when she is full.
