My daughter is 7 months old and so far all she does is roll side to side and the odd time onto her tummy. She still hates tummy time, can't sit up on her own, dosen't crawl or stand. She is teething but there are no teeth yet. I'm just wondering what your 7 month olds can do now?or what they haven't done yet.

My daughter...well..I am pretty sure that you just described her :) She is a very happy baby and laughing all the time now but she doesnt do much more than that and rolling around, which she rolls all over the place and makes sure we are watching her :0). The way I get her to sit up,is by putting her legs out most of the way and if she tries to crawl at all, she goes backwards. It has seemed as tho she has been teething for a couple of months soo far but nothing and they have these cool things called teething tablets...you should ask a pharmacist about them..they are all natural and are great when baby girl gets to hurting!

My 7 months old is already sitting up on her own and standing holding onto something trying to make her first step already. Some kids are slow some are fast, give her some time maybe she will make a move if not than you need to consult a specialist.

My son is almost 7 months and when we put him on his back he rolls right over to his belly. He can pull himself forward. When he is on tummy time, if a toy is too far from him, he just grabs the sheet and brings it to him so the toy is closer lol. He can sit up unassisted, he can pick his toys up and throw them, not crawling yet, or standing alone. He loves eating food, he eats the Gerber Puffs and baby food. He babbles babababbababa. He laughs alot.

My little boy is 8 months and 1 week he can sit up on his own but I have to watch him because every so often he will wobble over. He wriggles backwards on his back to get were he wants. He loves sandwiches and carrot sticks and he loves beans, he has been sleeping right through since about 3 months., he sometimes rolls onto his belly and starts crying because he doesn't like it, he likes standing up sometimes with me holding him, he has two teeth in bottom.

My 7 month old can crawl and sit unassisted. He can also pull himself up on things and is starting to walk around the edges of the coffe table and couch. He is also feeding himself finger foods. Its crazy around it one minute he wasn't crawling and the next he was pulling himself up on things caught me off guard for sure!

My son rolls over both left & right and he is showing signs of wanting to crawl. He likes to sorta tuck his head between his arms when he's facing downwards and push himself forward and backward (much like how leeches move about...weird comparing my son to a leech...:\ ). His 2 bottom teeth came out when he was 4 1/2 months and just today, his top two teeth pushed through the gums showing two white stumps. He LOVES jumping and standing. He's able to hold your hands and pull himself into a standing position. Able to sit well...until he's tired then he just falls backwards.

Mine also does not roll over... but she sits alone and can stand when I hold her - she has one tooth so far.... she is a big baby though and I put it down to that.... My little boy was rolling much earlier but all babies are different - if you are concerned ask the pead to do a check for peace of mind.

My 7 mo old rolls over, sits up, crawls very fast, dances, pulls herself up has taken a few steps, says about 8 words, she has her bottom two teeth almost all the way in. She listens to simple commands. She does something new just about every day. She lets me know when she needs her diaper changed by grabbing at it and saying poo ma poo or she will just go get a diaper and bring it to me, She likes baby food but only if its thick, she would much rather just eat off my plate.

mine was born the 20th nov. she sits by herself. gets that way too. she crawls pretty quick too. she pulls herself to standing. she lets go while standing and stands there not hanging on for at least 30-45 seconds at a time. she shook her empty bottle at me and said ma ma bah bah. she has grabbed a diaper out of her diaper box and carried it in crawling to me while i was still laying in bed one morning and started grunting and waving the diaper at me. i told her lets go get changed and she followed me out of my room to where the wipes were. no teeth yet but she loves to eat baby food. she walks very well if she has at least one hand held too

Brynn can roll front to back and back to front. She sits up by herself and can go from tummy time to sitting. She crawls on all fours and also like an army crawl. She has just started pulling herself up into a standing position this week, but hasn't taken any steps yet. She also has two teeth and has two more getting ready to pop through. Don't worry if you think your daughter isn't doing things on time because they all develop on their own time line. :D

My daughter has 2 teeth at the bottom and one coming in on top. She can roll over both ways, crawl, pull-up, cruise, climb stairs and sometimes stands on her own. My son was not doing as much at her age. I think she is trying to keep up with her brother hence all the stuff she does.

We have 5 children and 1 on the way.. RuthAnne is sitting up and rolling front to back.. She is still to top heavy to crawl. Today she did give it a better try than other days. As for the rest of my children she is a little behind in some things and in other ways she is ahead of them at her age. Yet, they all develop way differently. She's lots happier than the rest were too, so who knows. She wiggles her feet when the older kidos run around her and you can tell she is wanting to get up and go. It all will come in time. She has one tooth and one that just broke the skin. She can eat most finger foods and table foods, and would rather that than the bottle any time. I think she is just ready to get up and go and run and play with her older sister and brothers. Even tho they love to get down on the floor with her and play around that way shes not left out. Its fun to watch how they all interact with each other.

My daughter Taryn rolls to where she wants to go!! She is 8 months old and is starting to get up on all fours but has no clue what to do so she plops down and begins to roll. She sits up unassisted, I have to put her there. She is very smart, but I say she is taking everything in then I am sure it will be non-stop!! My 6 year old was very early on everything, she was walking independently by 9 months, I am enjoying my little one taking it slow!! Don't worry about the differences in reaching milestones every baby takes it at there own pace, it means nothing on how intelligent they are some kids just are slower paced...just enjoy it!!
If you are concerned, bring it up with your pediatrician=)

Tanner just amazes me! Not only is he a lil giant, 29inchs and 24lbs, but he roll over, can sit up on his own, crawl, and stand up... today he stood up on his toy pushed it and took a few steps with it! He just blows my mind completely! (He turned 7mo on the 20th of June) He was always a fast learner but it just blows my mind of fast he is picking stuff up! He also says "da da" and on the very rare occasion that he is very upset he will, in a very pathetic way i might add, say "mama" he rambles with "ba" and "da" a lot... he is just now where he is understanding that ""dada" means his daddy and "mama" means me! it is precious! He also gives "Lovens" aka kisses and can clap...it is precious! But i wouldn't worry about your LO they all do things when they are ready to do them, I know a 10mo who is just now sitting up on his own and rolling over so don't fret about it!

Sofia loves to roll all over the house; that's how she gets where she wants to go. She also has become an expert at getting on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth, but hasn't really tried to crawl yet. She can pull herself to a sitting position and also sits up well if I put her that way. She loves to stand up but refuses to balance herself, so I have to keep my hands on her. She loves her solid foods and tries to grab the spoon from me to feed herself (very messy so we don't do that too much). I am about to start with the finger foods. She gnawed on my banana yesterday, though. We are also teething, and Sofia has her two bottom teeth showing under the gum but they haven't quite popped through yet.

My daughter is 7.5 months and can walk with assistance (has for months) can sit for long periods of time playing, tries to use furniture to stand up and has one tooth. She doesn't get alot of floor time due to home renovations and the mess but she does crawl with one leg straightened. Hard to explain. However, please dont judge what your baby can do against what other babies can do. Every child develops at their own pace. She is neither slow nor advanced because of doing things or not doing things. Just keep giving her encouragement and praise and lots of floor time. Sit or lay on the floor and play along with her and she might enjoy tummy time more. She will do things when she is good and ready to do them and all you can do is show her your love and support in the mean time. Remember that every child develops at their own pace!!! Good luck!

Hi there,
Desmond was seven months on the 14th of November. He can sit up without support pretty good now but still topples over if he loses his balance. He has four teeth....but teeth and the way they come in to the mouth are completely genetic- if you or your husband were late teethers than chances are your children will be too! Desmond can roll from back to belly and belly to back but is in no hurry to crawl. He claps his hands all the time. He squeals and screams a lot too- just for fun. Its amazing how they are all different!

America is crawling, pulling up on tables, climbing on things, she is starting to cruise (walking along a table holding on) she can even stand a few seconds without holding on to anything. She has been rolling over since she was 3 or 4 months and even sitting up by herself with no support. Even though she is almost 8 months she still has no teeth. Her Fine Motor Skills are really good for age i am told, she can pick up Little Puffs or any small peice of food and put in her mouth (she does this with 2 fingers) With as small as America is (14 lbs 6 oz at 7 1/2 months) she is moving right along and even advance.

Hi, I didnt read many of the other responses so I dont know if im repeating exactly what others have said. However Nahla (my 7 month old) can sit un attended for 10, 20, 30, 40 min (well until she gets bored), she can pile blocks (big soft ones, no big deal not like they are small and can stand unattanded for a long peroid but wasnt starting walking yet but wants to try. I think she will be one of those babies who skip crawling and go right to walking b/c she already tries and can stand unattanded for 10 seconds or more and if holding onto the couch she could stand for a long time. She also hates tummy time but can somehow make it across the room (not by crawling though by "worming" I call it), lol. But over all she sits alone and plays and stacks toys but can only stand for long peroids holding onto something and is just starting to try walking. I DO NOT rush her just want her to be a baby and go at her own pace, no rush!

I have a 7 1/2 month old and all she does it what your saying about your daughter. Capri has hated Tummy Time since she was born so I haven't forced her. I got a baby try pillow that helped a little as she was happy to lie on her tummy with that propping her up. As for the rolling, Capri has rolled from tummy to back and vice versa, but chooses not too - she's lazy. Capri is now sitting up by herself, so she is getting stronger. I would worry about what your baby is and isn't doing! Every baby is different! I went to my coffee group yesterday and out of the 5 babies ( all born about 8 weeks apart) Capri is the youngest, one was crawling (since he was 7 1/2mnths) - but he had no teeth. All other babies had teeth, but my daughter doesn't either. One of them which is a week older than mine could pull herself up on the couch and stand holding onto it, but none of the others could. Just give your daughter time, she will progress in her own time!

My daughter just turned 8 months old and she can roll from front to back and back to front but she HATES tummy time. She prefers to sit up and play with her toys, which she can do unassisted for a very long time. She also has recently become very interested in standing while holding onto something, be it the couch or someone's fingers. She likes to walk assisted too...I don't think she will ever crawl.

She has no teeth yet though I feel like she has been teething for months (the drool though, not cranky) :-) She eats Gerber Puffs and Cheerios, she likes all her fruits and veggies. She is very dexterous and though it is too early to tell - her left hand works more efficiently than her right in picking up food.

She will babble on for hours, has her D's and her M's down so we hear Mama and Dada a lot. She is starting with her T's now...our dog is named Ted Ted so that is why. She even yells Mamma when crying and sad....already???I know, kind of scary :-)

HUnter is now 8 months, but he's had 6 teeth since he was a 6 month old. He crawls very quickly, pulls himself up and walks around the edges. He starting clapping a couple weeks ago and is quite vocal. Lots of ooooo's and ga ga, da da, ya ya and so on. I think he's starting to understand the word "No" along with his name and who mommy and daddy are.

He's quite advanced I think. There are a lot of babies we know who are 2-6 months older than him and he's doing things they aren't. I sometimes worry because he's going so quickly. He's already a little man. I miss my little baby.

I have 3 sons and they are all very different. I sometimes think that sites such as this are not helpful to first-time anxious mothers. Every child develops at their own rate and I believe that although physical development/ coordination plays a huge role in the rate at which they develop, personality also is an important contributor. It doesn't really matter when they start to walk, (as long as it is within the 'normal' range) as it isn't as though the early walkers will learn to walk better than those who walk later! Believe me, once they are mobile, you will wish that they had stayed still a little longer! ;) Just take the time to enjoy the stage they are at now as before you know it, your baby will be a toddler, at kindergarten etc...
