6 month old wants food but likes nothing,help???

i have a 6 month old baby and he is so ready 2 eat since he was 4 months old but he hates baby food, i have tried every single baby food out there available and there's nothin he likes :( i have tried smashed food that my family eats but he doesn't like that either, i have tried baby yoghurt, farex (baby cereal) i have tried makin things warm but still a no.im scared if i get him to eat wat we eat he will get a up set tummy cause most of the time its pasta ect, wat can i do cause the formula aint doin it any more for him???

When my son turned 6 months, I started giving him chunks of pear, banana, carrot -- and mashed avocado and plain yogurt. He doesn't actually swallow much yet, but he's learning to handle food, chew, hold a spoon, etc.

thnx so much fran, thats very helpfull for me, i never went thru all this hard work to feed a baby with both my other boys they love food from the age of 3.5 months :)

i have tried my little one on the food my family eats but he wont even eat that so im going to just let him go and when he is ready he will eat :) i have been told tho by my sons daycare teacher that wat ur sayin is true bout the try food 12 times :)

i just blend our food too. My son loves the cheese sauce from macaroni cheese i also make him mashed potato and add cheese to that, or when i'm making stew i do him some without the sauce (just meat water and veg) then blend that. He loves custard and eyes up his big brothers mac donalds even trying to grab it off him at the weekend (sam is 6 months) He'll find something he likes. I remember reading that a baby has to try something 12 times before they decided if they like it or not. x

My 6 mo old is the same way. He HATES baby food, he would rather bf. But, he seems to enjoy our food better. My pediatrician told me to just use a food processor and give him what we eat. Our food tastes better!

they make mess stick feeders (nuby) that way he can taste the food that ya'll eat, We have a mini food processor and when we eat something I think she would like to try I grind it up for her.

I have a friend that has a little boy that was just like you stated and she feeds him table food and stage 3 foods.

Also my little girl will only eat Earths Best foods, I couldnt get her to eat any other baby food
