So this is my second baby and I just don't remember having this much pain at all. The back pain is really hitting me hard and it's not just in my lower back, it's my whole entire back.I have tried sitting and lying in different positions but nothing is helping. I am curious to whether anybody has any input or suggestions on what to do?? I am either due September 18th ( going by my last menstrual cycle) or due October 6th (according to the size of my baby in the ultrasound). Either way I am very ready to pop. I am not sure if this is labor pain or what. I just need some help and guidance because this pregnancy has been nothing like my first experience. I appreciate any advice given!!!

I am having the SAME problem! With my first, it went fine, barely any pain, baby dropped around 36 weeks and I was dialating and everything, but now, I am 38 weeks, have the WORST pain in my back, its my whole back too.. But there is this one point in my back where it is the most painful like on my left side, maybe like a quarter size that is just horrible pain.. the only thing that kind of helps is putting a folded pillow behind the middle of my back when im sitting down. hope it helps you!!! oh and also ice helps!!

Yeah I haven't been taking it very easy. I am gonna try to lay back on the activity. I have a 22 month old boy and I have still been lifting him along with just not taking it easy but I am gonna definitely try the all fours rocking thing. I have tried to lay flat on my back but it hurts so bad. I have also been having horrible pelvic pain for like 2 months now. When I went to the doctor they told me that it was "rounded ligament", which is pretty much saying that I am running out of room. It is a lot of pressure , feels like the bones are aching, can hardly move my legs. It is the worst at night along with the back pain and the restless leg syndrome. I am just very ready to have this baby!! Hopefully some of your tricks work for me!!!

i am due sept 22nd but am getting a induction the 16th. i have horrible back pain through out my whole back and yes your baby could be posterior but also it can just be the pressure from weight, my dr told me to take tylenole and use a heatpad/warm bath. not to be lifting much weight. also, mine is has alot to do with when my lil girly dropped she landed on my sciatic nerve which is your main nerve, it causes back pain and hip pain and will cause a shoting/throbbing pain down your leg to your foot

is the pain continuous or comes and goes....bubby could be posterior where bubby is spine on spine....do some leaning on all fours rocking back and forth, or lay on an exercise ball on ur knees and rock or just lean on a bench, if bubby is in a posterior position it coulkd be causing your pain as i went into early labour sunday and bubby was posterior and all the pain was in my back, i spent all day leaning over benches and on the exercise ball that i turned her and then the pain went to my belly....
hope this helps, if its not that just try to rest as much as posible try heat packs and ice packs, ask your partner to massage as well...might relieve something..

good luck...
