I keep putting BetteAnn (3 weeks) on her Back to sleep, but she keeps rolling to her side or tummy. It is freaking me out because my son didnt start rolling untill he was 7 weeks. should I be worried because she is not staying on her back? I move her back to the "back sleep position" but sometimes it wakes her up and at night I need some sleep.

WOW. My 1st daughter rolled from tummy to back at 1 month and my newest daughter is 6 weeks old and has been rolling from belly to back since 2 weeks.

Sleep positioners can be dangerous... I would say she'll probably be fine. Most of us were raised sleeping on our stomachs (so we wouldn't choke on spitup was the thinking). If she can lift her head up she's pretty safe. My boy goes to his side. Note: If in a basinette, you may want to switch to a crib because rolling might make the basinette unstable and it may not have as good airflow if she rolls against the side.

Thanks, yes she can lift and move her head around too. I hope this doesnt mean that she will be crawling or walking early. She is my last baby and I do not want her to grow up so fast lol Thanks ladies

My son also started rolling at 3 weeks, he prefers to sleep on his stomach. If she's strong enough to roll, she's strong enough to turn her head (so she can breathe). Do Not buy a positioner for her!!! Since she is already so mobile, she can scoot down in it, where it can cover her face!!! As long as her bed is clear of stuffed animals, pillows, or loose covers, she'll be fine. I just turn mine back over when he flips! Good luck :)

buy a sleep positioner only about 8 bucks and they will not roll over.
