I think it has more to do with your body than with the things you apply... I remember going through this with puberty (thighs) and rubbing things on it did ... nothing. So, I lotion but don't hold my breath. Come what may.

hi i used wheatgerm oil with my 1st pregnancy it smells a bit but it worked really well and im now on my 4th pregnancy with just a little bit of stretch marks on my lower tummy and hips from my 1sy pregnancy my second pregnancy was twins till 5 months ttts rip none then either and my daughter born the same year and still none im now nearly 28 weeks with another girl and it seems like ive been lucky so far every pregnancy after my 1st i used bio oil and a body butter or some sort or a sorbolene cream on top hope that helps bio oil is definetly a saviour thought well worth the money

rub bio-oil on your belly twice a day, and continue after the pregnancy if needed. I did it with my first and have no strech marks. Now doing it with my 2nd. Though i do think it's a case of if you gonna get them then you will no matter what. It all depends on your skin i guess. My mum never got any with all 4 of her pregnancies either.

I found the best thing ever that for me worked wonders on preventing stretch marks,and cleared up some old ones I had from a growth spurt as a child: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion for Stretch Marks. My mom swore by it when she was pregnant with me and my brother,it worked so well!

lol during my frist pregnancy i gained like 60 pounds so i got LOTS of stretch marks then, looked like someone peeled out on my belly... got a couple on my legs too... then haven't darkened or anything so far this time, hoping that they will just stay the way they are, but i doubt it... atleast i can't get any more... there no room for any haha

You're lucky to only have ONE!
I'm so tiny, and with my first pregnancy I stretched SO much. I would lather myself in vitamin E oil, Cocoa Butter..everything I could do to keep my skin's elasticity in tact. Hah... yeah, nothing worked. They're everywhere :-( Now, with this pregnancy, I'm still lathering myself, but.. after I give birth I will probably try Bio-Oil or Mederma. I've heard good things about both.

With my first I got them on my thighs none on my belly (think I wanted them on my belly more then my thighs thou)
