not planned. I was on orthotricyclin when I got pregnant with both of my kids. I guess I must have been inconsistent in what time I took it, or my body chemistry is different. love having my babies though!

Me& my husband were just so happy with our one daughter and of course talked about having one or two more but wait to try til she was about 4 or 5.But I was living with him&his parents due to his job loss.And I happen to sync my periods with his neice who just started them right after we had our little bundle of joy.So my periods would be on and off.But when I did finally get one I called in to get my depo shot and she was on vaction so I had to wait for my next one.Well it was around jan 14th his neice came home saying grandma i bleed through my pants do i have any more left.I was like oh your on your period she was like yup i started today in gym.I ran into the bedroom and jumped into my husbands lap and whispered in his ear we need a test.He's like ummm what kind i'm like the prego one hun.He's like no are you serious.I'm like yup.So we took one and it was negitive then i didn't get it at all so we bought another in feb.And our worse fear became true we were pregnant again.We didn't know what to do or think.We thought about adoption but couldn't do it once we found out it was a boy.But in the end we weren't trying it just happened but now we have our complete little family.

Not at all! We had our first son Sep 27 an were pregnant again in Nov. So no it wasnt planned persay, but we in a rhythym of not using anything an with sleep depervation an just the joy of really being a family Were welcoming our 2nd son any day now!

This pregnancy was not planned... It was a surprise as I was still breast feeding and monitoring ovulation. We were planing to start trying in June of this year, but one night with some wine totally nixed those plans!!! :D We're happy though.

Sort of a surprise. I was off birth control briefly and I got pregnant. We didn't use any other preventative measures so we knew that it was a possibility but I guess we didn't expect it to happen so soon after being off the birth control (I was wanting to switch from the pill to something else, I bleed almost constantly when I'm on the pill it's so annoying). Anyways, we're happy about it...my son is only 15 months old and the baby is due next month so...yikes, we're going to have our hands full but in a few years I'm going to be so glad they're so close together in age.

we decided once my partner came off some tablets he takes for a skin condition we would consider trying for another baby. we were told by our doctor to wait at least 3 months,preferably 6 months to try as his tablets carried increased risk of abnormalities for baby so we started really trying in december. i was pregnant in january! just very lucky. but then with our first we didnt actually try for her either as i was only off the pill a few weeks and never got my monthly!

We had been trying the year before (we have 2 girls and wanted to try for a boy) with no success:( So we finally gave up and then all of a sudden..BAM Im pregnant! lol So he is both planned & a surprise:)

My lil girl is a complete surprise.
Found out on Jan 25th
my period was 2 wks late before I relised it. Was starting my first college Semester of EMT training & wasnt concentrating on anything but that. Told the father and he promptly left me after 5 mths together so i guess you can say the baby was a surprise all the way around. LOL

We were trying!! :) We had a miscarriage in August 2009, and were devastated, but really wanted a baby especially after that!! I started using fertilitygal.com to chart my temps in the morning, and figured out when my ovulation days were, and BAM! We got pregnant on December 25!! A wonderful little miracle!!! I am now 28 weeks along with our baby girl!! :)

Definitely planned here - just maybe not that fast! :) - Like some of the others, I got pregnant right off the pill. Quit the pill on Dec. 9th and conceived around Christmas. Gotta love it!

We were not actually "trying" to get pregnant. We had one night of fun- wine and fun- to celebrate the ending of 2009... and we got pregnant. Really did not think it would happen since my son was 9 months at the time, I was exclusively breastfeeding and we were using birth control methods. I guess it was our time. I knew right away, within the first week and a half. I just felt weird, bloated and dizzy. I waited to confirm it with a PPT, 2 days after I missed my cycle on January 18th. I kept telling my husband, but he thought I was crazy... and one point so did I...lol

We were planning to start trying in June of 2010, but we got our surprise much sooner!!! :) We're happy though.

Our Xander was definitely a surprise (quite possibly an accident... LOL). I was on birth control, my husband was using protection, and we were tracking fertility to some degree. We took a lot of precautions because we had decided we really didn't want to start a family at our ages. I guess our persistent little boy had other plans! It was definitely a huge shock... I didn't believe the tests at first. I think it finally sank in when we saw him on ultrasound. It wasn't our plan, but we have come to be happy with our big surprise and our looking forward to being parents.

Hi everyone, new to the group :)



Was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18 years of age and was told to loose weight or by the time I was 25-30 i would never have kids ... (telling that to someone who wants a family and is still young .. well it was devastating !)

Over the years up and down with my weight and we were either protected or not. It was either we chose when to "try" or bub would choose us when the time was right.

We were expecting to have to try for 6-12 months and concieved within a month of trying. Took us by surprise ! Especially when bf 'supposively' new I was pregnant before I even did. *lol*

A friend who is 10 days ahead of us kept harping on me to take a test and behold a faint positive :D



Am currently 25 weeks (and counting), our first bub and can't wait to meet our angel.

Have chosen not to know the sex either. Got to keep our friends & family on their toes *hehe*



Congratulations to everyone on their pregnancies as well. Planned or Chosen early ;)

Well all my babies have been suprises. but my first was a shock. I didnt' want to get pregnant because at 15 doctors told me that I would not carry them beyond 3 months. But Thank the good Lord above I have a wonderful 3 year old and a 11 month old son.This one. well we kind of wanted to have the baby sooner then later. I didn't really want to get out of baby mode. But was overly excited when we found out. I didnt think I was pregnant though because I was still bfing my son and I started spotting in the middle of Jan. thought my p. was starting two weeks early but it didnt' keep going. then I waited until I was 1 1/2 weeks late and a home test and it came out a big YES, but then I started bleeding pretty havy then, so I though it was a bad home test we waited a little longer and it just didn't change to my norm so we went and got a test done at family planing and it came out a very big YES so I stopped bfing and the bleeding went away. The doctors think it is wierd that I didn't know I was pregnant because of the bleeding I told them I didn't bleed with any of my other pregnancies except the one I misscarried. Middle of 2008

Definitely weren't trying. Of course that's how it was with the other 3 too. But when you don't use birth control...lol

I started getting nauseous and light-headed in the supermarket, which for me is the sign that I'm pregnant. I took an at home test when I was about 2 months along.

we were not trying but were not very careful either and we found out exactly a week before our wedding. But we are still very excited all the same, just unexpected. We would have started trying in october anyway and we already have a son who will turn 3 when i'm due so at least they wont be far apart in age. I was about 4 weeks along when i got the positive home test result.

Well, my husband planned it, but I wasn't expecting it to happen quite as fast as it did. I wasn't really trying, but as soon as he said he wanted to, I must have gotten pregnant because I took a test on New Years Eve just to make sure and it was already positive!

This is my 2nd pregnancy and both times were "surprises". Last time we were trying for a September 2009 baby but I went off my birth control early to "regulate". We were using condoms but the one time we didn't, I got pregnant....so we had a baby March 15, 2009.
I stopped breastfeeding my baby at the beginning of December 2009 and didn't want to go on birth control since we were going to try again in April 2010 (hoping for a January 2011 baby) and the one time we didn't use a condom, I got pregnant and are expecting mid September 2010.
I didn't know I was pregnant for quite awhile since I didn't have periods while breastfeeding...I was going to go to the dr in February to see why my periods hadn't started again because we wanted to start trying in April and thought I better take a pregnancy test so I'm not the idiot at the dr's office asking, "Why am I not getting my period?" and them saying "Could you be pregnant?"....and I was!!!
My babies are going to be less than 18 mths apart! Ahhhh.

Both pregnancie were planned, and I was exited to get this going so I calculated the fertility time and all. And on the first try on both times, we scored! (it runs in the family) So I knew right away. I find that we're very blessed to get pregnant when we want, but it's also a warning to be careful! lol!

My husband and I definitely didn't sit down and plan for a child, but at the same time we didn't plan to not have one. So when we found out we were excited and I think we are ready for this. We've been married just over 2 years, he's 23 and I'll be 22 in June, he's in the Navy, so although I would have liked to have waited a bit more, I am glad to be blessed with this little gift :)

We were trying the month before to have an August baby, but decided to have the next month off so I could go to my family reunion in September. We were really careful till about two weeks after I should have ovulated. Surprise surprise, I got pregnant. And I'm due two weeks later than my period dates suggest.

It wasn't Planned. My husband and I were having unprotected sex since we were dating which was about a year and I never got Pregnant. I have Lyme and the doctors had told me that there could be a risk of not being able to have children. So hearing that and after a year of using nothing I figured it must be true. Well me and my husband got married last year on July 6th, and again weren't using much protection. Well I was late a few times and took tests but all came out neg. and I never really had a great period. I went to my Lyme Dr. on Jan. 19th and she gave me a blood pregnancy test. Well on our way home from my Lyme Dr. we had to stop and pick up my Kitten "Buttons" from the petsmart. I was driving and my husband was holding the cat and I looked over to help him put her in her little sack thing and I had steered off the road. Well the car did 5 flips and landed on it wheels. We were rushed off to the hospital and I came out with a sprained ankle and wrist on the left and a nice seatbelt burn on my chest. Hubby came out with 5 stitchs over his right eye, huge scrapes on his legs, and a hurt back (he wasn't wereing his seatbelt and got flung into the backseat). Buttons didn't make it. I get a call the next morning from my Lyme Dr saying that I'M PREGNANT. I started crying my eyes out just thinking about the day before. I went straight to an OBGYN and had an emergancy ultrasound and I was so relieved when I saw that little heart beating strong. I was 6 weeks the day of the accident. Im now almost 20weeks (5months (= ). And I'm so happy everytime I feel it move. I find out the sex of my baby on the 18th of May =)

expected. we where trying strait after our honeymoon. i went of my pill and 2 months later i was pregnant... we have a son already.. his 13 months old. i feel pregnant strait after our engegement. so now i have one engagement baby and one wedding baby lol... thats what we like to joke about.. hehehee :)

We were trying for 1 year. I was pregnant last summer but had a miscarriage then we got pregnant the beginning of this year. I was 3 weeks along when I found out on Jan.18th. I was so excited when I found out but yet very nervous because I didn't know if this one was going to last or not. I'm 5 months now and everything is great and the baby is very healthy baby boy.

We had been trying without doctors help for like 2 1/2 years. Found out I had PCOS kept trying on our own, ended up moving and changed insurance. My primary care provider sent me to an OBGYN for my PCOS, and he gave me metformin I took it for two months, and went in bc I was thinking it was giving me headaches and throwing up, just not a fun time, well..... we took a pregnancy test positive at 6 weeks. Both us and the doctor were excited, we thought this would take much much longer, and very cautious thru everything. I have only been pregnant once before and it was 5 years ago and delivered at 25 weeks, so much concern. But we are here and 18 weeks, and my daughter starts kindergarten this fall :)

We were trying. I got pregnant the first month we tried. I got pregnant first try with my daughter as well. I took the test 2 days before Christmas and it was positive, even though I was only 3 weeks pregnant.

We were trying and within a week of coming off of birth control I got pregnant. I went into Dr office saying I knew I was pregnant and they said you can't be it takes time when you have been 5 years on the birth control. Within 2 weeks Christmas Eve I confirmed thru pregnancy test I was pregnant! So this will make number 3 for us. My daughter is 9 and my son is 5 1/2.

Well my partner and I only met in October last year, and for the first time in my life I found myself wanting children - this was around 2months after we met. We discussed it and he wanted a child too, so we worked out my dates and found I'd be fertile for a few days around new years eve - so no new years partying for us (well, okay it was a party for two). I concieved on the first attempt which I was shocked but happy about. Lots of people had told me to expect to be trying for about a year and I know some people are trying for even longer so we both feel completely blessed.



I did a test on the 13th January and it came back negative, I was disappointed, but somehow I KNEW it was wrong, it was weird..... so two days later I told him I'm doing another test and if it's positive I'd show up at his work to tell him, if it was negative I'd just text or ring him. So, my friend and I did the test in a Wetherspoons toilet cubicle where she had a positive test a few years back, then I saw the two faint pink lines and burst into tears.



The look on my partners face when I walked into his work was a picture. He actually did double take before coming over and giving me the biggest hug ever!! Best day of my life......so far!!

nopers. total surprise. We have three daughters already and were done having children. but I guess God had other ideas for us. so daughter #4 is on the way. We plan to make sure this doesn't happen again though. no more surprises, if we can help it.

We were trying, we had been trying on and off since January of last year, but because my husband was constantly going out to sea(he's on a sub in the navy) it took a while, plus we would get paranoid that he wouldn't be here for the baby so we took time off of trying a lot in that time frame, he was only here about 2 months total last year altogether lol. ANYWAYS, I found out I was pregnant the day after my birthday, so it was October 28th, and then ended up finding out in November that I had a miscarraige(I actually wouldn't have ever known but my "period" was really light and not normal, turns out it wasn't a period, but a miscarraige). I ended up getting my REAL period a couple days later and then December 3rd, I found out I was pregnant again!!! lol We were so surprised it happened so quick.

So we pretty much found out as soon as you can, I was like 4 weeks pregnant. Luckily, this one has had no major complications, just lack of sleep and room in my bladder lol. Plus having some really annoying back pain lately, which is wierd because even at 9 months with my son, I never had back pain.
