When shoudl my 8 week old starting rolling over?

My oldest 17 months did at 4 months, and my youngest 4 months did at a week short of 3 months.

my son is just 5 months (21 weeks) and doesnt bother to roll, he is much more interested in eating his feet lol.

my daughter started rolling when she was more than 6 months, she is perfectly fine!

The average child starts really rolling consistently between 3-4 months. It's just a matter of getting those little arms in the right position and remembering that to make it happen repeatedly and to consider it a learned behavior. Just relax though, babies will do it in their own time, pushing on certain things can cause them to regress and you certainly don't want that.

Haha... my 4 month old started rolling front to back at 6 weeks and 6 days, and starting rolling back to front at 4 months and 2 days. Contrast to my 2 year old who only rolled front to back occasionally, and only back to front a few times before she finally learned to crawl at 10 months! So obviously it can vary a lot depending on the child! Don't worry about it! He'll get there when he's ready, and slow to move is a very peaceful way to go... especially nice for a first baby! :-)

the average baby rolls over around 3-4 months! My daughter just turned 4 months today and she's rolled over from her tummy to her back at least 5 times this week!

my daughter is 4 and half months and hasnt rolled yet but she is in a harness for her hips so we not in to much of a rush my other 4 babies rolled around the 2 to 3month mark

LOL my son is 3 months and hasnt rolled yet. Im in no rush though and im pretty sure its because hes always being held or up off the floor because he has a 2 year old sister who would step on him lol!

My daughter is 3 months 1 day and doesn't show any interest in rolling over yet. I don't want to rush her (not that I'd even know how to do that) because it seems like she's already growing up so fast and I really do enjoy every little stage I've seen so far. I know she'll learn and soon we'll have to be baby-proofing the house!

my son hasnt even looked like rolling over and he has just turned 12 weeks, my daughter did at 16 weeks, and she seems to be developmentally fine !! dont rush it!!

My little guy is 14 weeks old and he just rolled from belly to back today for the first time. We do tummy time each day. I'm not sure how to make it go faster. Good luck!

I am actually kinda happy my boy hasn't learned to roll yet... :P But I'll also be happy when he does. He's trying now at 9 weeks but hasn't succeeded yet.

my lil girl is two months and has only rolled once at 4 weeks old but im in no hurry for her to do any thing she is trying her best to lift her head since she was two days old and is only strting to support her head now

BetteAnn rolled front to back at 3 wks and at 4 weeks rolled the other way, but my son didnt do anything until 7 weeks. I have a friend whos son didnt roll until 2 1/2 mo.

expect front to back soon(7-12weeks old), but back to front takes a bit longer(9-14weeks old). Don't rush it! once they are mobile it's a whole new game of keeping them safe..tummytime is great, we do tummytime on our chest sometimes (lyingdown) so baby tries to see our faces seems to push with his arms more
