I went to the doc yesterday and my blood pressure was up a bit. I have protein in my urine and my legs and ankles are always swollen. I work on my feet every day for 6-9 hours a day and then come home to chase around my daughters. The docs are worried that I'm showing early signs of preeclampsia at 15 weeks. I had this condition with my oldest daughter almost 9 years ago and was put on bed rest but we cant afford for me to go on bed rest because my hubby just got laid-off. Any one have any tips for bringing down my blood pressure and the swelling? I dont wanna freak out about this because I know it will only make the condition with my blood pressure worse but I dont know what to do ......PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Cut as much sodium out of your diet as possible!!! Try to rest with your feet elevated as much as you can, too. Try to think of activities you can do with your girls while you're sitting and resting. Honestly, though, if you're showing signs of preeclampsia at 15 weeks, you'll most likely be put on bed rest again sooner or later. Also, one way to combat the swelling is to get a prenatal massage and have your husband rub your legs, feet, arms, and hands. Good luck, and I hope everything goes okay.
