So every time I go pee, its plain to see that it is pee, I definitely went pee, but you can smell instantly that it smells sweet and when I wipe or change my undies in the morning from bedtime it all smells sweet too...



I'm a little confused and worried just to be honest but not sure if I should be. I've not lost my mucus plug yet, I really believe I am further along however because I'd miscarried and then 2-3 weeks later they say I got pregnant. With my 2y/o daughter, the sonogram a couple days before I delivered her (full term) they told me by sonogram it looked like she still had a month to go size wise and they said at my sonogram a couple weeks ago that my currently baking daughter could only be 33 weeks... is it possible I'm further along and leaking fluid? Or am I just paranoid? Are there other reasons my urine would smell sweet?

Maybe thats all it is? If all the tests come back negative or normal, I wouldn't worry. But if its pee you can stop the flow if it amniotic fluid you can't. Just so you know.

Its not diabetes but thank you.

I've already been tested and they even admitted the test was pointless as they were doing it because I'm hypoglycemic, either way it came back negative for diabetes.



I've not been taking any medications save for tylenol and my prenatal vitamin.



Been tested for urinary tract infections and came back negative.



And I have no other medical conditions. This has only been since my last Dr visit a couple weeks ago where they did check me. She said she could feel the baby's head but it was still behind the cervix.



My urine looks normal, lightish/clearish yellow color. Which is part of why I'm so befuddled by the scent. Normally when its that color it has a light but distinct pee smell...

You could have diabetes, Normal urine is clear and has a straw-yellow color. While the odor of urine can vary somewhat, in most cases, it does not have a strong smell. With dehydration, the urine is more concentrated and may have a stronger ammonia scent than normal. Consumption of certain foods, such as asparagus (which can impart a characteristic odor to urine), and taking some medications may alter the odor of urine. When there is an infection in the urinary tract, the urine may take on a foul-smelling odor as well as appear cloudy or bloody. The urine may also have an abnormally sweet odor in uncontrolled diabetes, and some rare genetic conditions can also cause the urine to have an abnormal odor.
