I am about to be 36 weeks pregnant and yesterday and today and I have had diarrhea. I feel fine and am eating the same things I have through the whole pregnancy. Could labor be coming soon?

I'm also 36 weeks pregnant and am having diarrhea along with braxton hicks. I'm so glad to know i'm not along dealing with this. I was at my OB apt a few days ago and she said i was stating the thin out. Do you think i could also be heading into labor soon??

I had the same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was 36 weeks pregnant with diarrhea and vomiting and ended up in labour shortly after. Good luck! Let us know when you have your baby :)

Being 36 weeks pregnant with diarrhea could be a sign of labor.. I had really bad diarrhea in the morning (didnt even think id be going to my OB appt), and had my OB appt at Noon, my OB stripped my membranes & told me I was 3cm dilated, had massive stomach cramps, went home fell asleep and later that night at 7ish was woken up because I was in labor! Good luck hun.

Some women do have diarrhea just before labour - its the body's way of preparing itself by sort of clearing itself out. I'm not sure why, maybe its because you use the same muscles to push the baby out as you do for a bowel movement. Just double check it with your health professional, but I wouldn't be too worried about it. Have you had any other signs, ie. mucous plug loss, leaky waters, backache or increased Braxton Hicks (practice contractions)? You might find yourself going crazy soon with regards to cleaning! You're classed as full term at around 37 weeks, so hopefully you'll be meeting your baby soon! As I said, just mention it to the doctor, but it'll probably be nothing to worry about. Good luck!

P.S. You can lose your plug a few days before labour, but if your waters go then let your doctor know straight away as some like you to go in when it happens xx

Being 36 weeks pregnant with diarrhea could be a sign that your body is getting prepared - but I would at least call your OB and see if you may be having something else going on. I would recommend that you try to drink extra water though, as diarrhea can dehydrate you -- thats the best thing I can say!!

Take care, congrats on your baby!! Im at about 35 weeks myself, so im getting anxious!! I wish you the best in your labor and delivery!!
