i have been having sharp pain shoot through my vagina every 15 mins and the pain only lasts about 20 30 secs each time i am 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant and also having really bad period pain is this contractions or nothing please give any advice

i always hated it when people said "you'll know!" but, really. you will. When you have a contraction that is "real" you will not be able to walk or talk during it. It's period cramps time a hundred. Try and drink some red raspberry leaf tea to keep them coming strong and speed it up. Good luck!!

I would definately call your doctor asap. If you think it could be labor he/she will want to see you immediately or just tell you to go to the hospital. Good Luck! Let us know how it goes. :)

they say if you have more than 10 contractions in an hour or less then call your doctor...he/she will tell you what she thinks! this just might be your lucky day :D CONGRATS!!
