I have been on the mini pill for 10mnth and if im honest have forgotten to take it or take abit late at times. Im always regular and never missed period. I havent had a period since june. I have done 2hpt and was negative, im trying to find time to get blood tests done as doc request. But today im spotting so is that a period? Im really confused.

If your period didn't start normal after the spotting, you could definitely be pregnant. Are you taking the tests first thing in the morning with your first morning urine? That is the best time. There are several things that could be going on with you if you haven't had a period in that long and you are normally regular. One thing that is common but usually goes unnoticed is something called a blighted ovum. I had never heard of it until I had one. It is where you are technically pregnant, but only a sack develops and no baby. This usually requires a D&C to be removed as it is technically a miscarriage. The spotting you are experiencing may in fact be a miscarriage if it became heavy later. If you are under a lot of stress or have started new medications, these can also cause irregularities in cycles. There are so manymore things that could be going on, but I would definitely get a blood test done and possibly an ultrasound with not having a cycle for this long...
