5 days ago after a long roadtrip i noticed a patch on my undies (about the size of my hand) of dried fluid. It looked like it had a slight tinge of yellow to it and i dont think it smelled like wee. It kinda smelt sweetish but not very strong. I have not had any more since then. At the time i was getting heaps of intense braxtons (about 3-5 an hr) and have since settled down a bit. I am 35 weeks pregnant. Any ideas?

If it had a yellow tinge it's not your fluid. Amniotic fluid is clear. You're 35 weeks, so it could very well be that it's an increase in your discharge. Starting at about 30 weeks for me I would have lots of gushes like you're describing. I was in the hospital for the last part of my pregnancy and this is what the dr. told me.

I have my antenatal app today so i will mention it. The bh were coming often that day but not any more. Now they are irregular and not as often again. I shall see what the doc says after my app. They might examine me to make sure my cervix is still closed etc. Perhaps it was the bumpy road for six hours!!

I was told if I was having more than 1 bh in an hour to call my dr office right away cause its not bh its real contractions. Since you have had sweetish fluid leak better be calling your dr to get checked out.

i don't know what to tell you since its stopped but if it didn't stop it could be your water breaking... sometimes its not a gush its just a slow leak and if thats the case DON'T take a bath because it can cause an infection. i would call your doctor and talk to them about it... better safe than sorry! if you were getting bh every 10-15min then it would probably be considered consistant and it probably wasn't considered to be bh... bh are irregular and don't usually go that close together or have any consistancy with them! i would call your doctor just to make sure! you don't want to risk anything with your child especially if you had fluid leaking!

Ok very weird if you not sure if its wee or fluid taste it weird i know but if its sweet then its the amniotic fluid. If your braxton hicks are bad get into a warm bath and relax if they dont go away its likely to be contractions... other wise just take it easy dont want baba to pop out before due date but dont stress everything is fine! but if you worried just go see the doc to make sure baba is fine and you ok!
