Anybody else leaking urine?

Yes its normal the Doc says to do kegal excercise to tighten the muscle. It happens to me It dont be really wet it just damps. Invest in some pant liners

I'm leaking urine, but as far as I am aware I'm not pregnant, we don't use protection but I did have my period at the end of last month and due for it again soon, but this has just started happening about 2 weeks ago and I have no idea why, any one think I might me pregnant?

yes! i had my little one in july and leaked for weeks after. i still have to cross my legs at times! it's all part and parcel i think! make sure you do your pelvic floor exercises afterwards and it does gradually get better! I heard somewhere recently that it is recommended you do pelvic floor exercises whilst pregnant too - wish someone had told me that at the time! good luck x

I never had it with my 1st but once he was born i had problems, but not major ! It was only when i left it too long to go to the loo. But with my 2nd pregnancy, it has got worse. I used thin panty liners at first. I have SPD as well so i can't walk very fast because my pelvis hurts way too much, so if i leave goin to the loo too long then i leak quite alot. So now i tend to go whenever i feel the urge. But over christmas i had a cold and a cough and my cough lasted about 4 weeks and i had to swap from panty liners to pads because i was leaking so much. I was so embarressed, i kept crying to my husband. I felt like i couldn't talk about it to anyone cos they would think i was dirty. I was havin 2 baths every day to make sure i was clean. I would even go to the toilet and start walking down stairs, cough and i'd still be leaking !! But, thankfully, once my cough subsided, i am loads better ! In fact i feel better than i have done ! But all i can suggest is panty liners and to keep up with your pelvic floor exercises :)

It happens to me all the time! no matter what I do. I guess its normal but def does get annoying. Im 27 weeks and on bedrest too

and Kegel excersizes. phooey. i did them all the time and i still leaked like a drippy sink by the third baby.

i wear a thin pad all the time. this is my third, and i leaked anyways from that and the fact that it happened 3 months after my last birth. Then ( i am 37 1/2 weeks) at 33 weeks i had a kidney stent put in for stones, and now i leak like its my job :(

lol, aww, I'm glad this thread exsists! I had it happen for the first time about 2 weeks ago when I sneezed, my husband said the look on my face was pretty funny... I hadnt actually heard this could happen so I was alittle panicky til I asked my sister, she has 2 kids, and she told me it's pretty normal and that I wasn't just some odd leaky pee machine!

These exercises don't require you to be anywhere. On your bed, on the loo, in the kitchen is fine. So if your on bed rest that's perfect. You've got all day & night to be working on them. No one will ever notice. Look them up, I don't want to explain what to do as I might tell you wrong.....

I'm 27 weeks with my first and I've been experiencing this for a couple weeks now. I just use thin panty liners and it works out pretty well. I've been on bedrest off and on so I haven't been able to try the exercises yet. Of course it seems like every time my hubby makes me laugh (which is daily) I either leak or immediately have to pee haha!

I have it also. I had it during my 1st pregnancy. I have always done my exercises but those sudden sneezes still get me. It took a long long time to settle after my daughter was born, but I'm pregnant again now & it's bad as ever. I did forget that I did use panty liners during my 1st pregnancy, so thanks for reminding me. Really only the liners & the exercises are of help. The exercises are obviously a long term solution & the best option for you.

Virginia, I think she meant to say Kegel. :) Done right they can help with incontinence by strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.

I do! And it sucks! I have to wear panty liners for discharge and pee lol! I had to do the same thing with my first pregnancy. I actually had to go in and have my daughter pushed up because she sat so low that she was making me leak pee and I thought it was amniotic fluid! Haha and with this pregnancy my little boy is doing the same thing! Good thing I know whats going on this time! Kegals are suppose to help! I also recommend yoga!

I also have experienced this. I am now 26 weeks and dont have this happen as much now. Earlier in the pregnancy it happened ALL the time and there was nothing i could do about it. If i coughed or sneezed watch out lol. Now it only happens if i need to go real bad and cant get to a bathroom fast enough, which is weird cause i go all the time and you wouldnt think i would need to go that badly but apparetly sometimes thats the case. For me it has got better thou so i hope the same for you as well!! Good Luck

Oh yes! leakage is unavoidable. I've actually even peed my pants because the urgent need to urinate comes on so suddenly(especially after your little one drop kicks your bladder). I've considered depends and they do work, the slip on kind are pretty comfortable. I wore them as an experiment in nursing school so I could relate to my patients but now consider them in my pregnancy LOL...pads or liners work it just depends on where you are at in the pregnancy and whatever suits your needs.

Yep... pantiliners and pads is about all you can do right now. If this is your first, be prepared... it doesn't fully go away after birth. You get good at the "cross your legs when you get the tickle in your nose" thing before you sneeze... or cough... or laugh hard.

hello! isnt this just an awesome subject to talk about during pregnancy? lol. but i have this too, and it can get pretty bad when i sneeze. the best thing i have found is thin panty liners. there are ones for thongs too, which is nice. i'm 28 weeks and it didnt start happening till i started to show and feel like there was something in my belly. so my best result is just using the liner, not nessicarly pads, maybe only if it gets really bad, but they work the best! good luck!
