I'd suggest checking out another community here on Circle of Mom's.
Its called "mental health issue amoung parents but not the children".
(yes, amoung is spelled wrong)
Its not a very busy group, but you may find more information (and support) there.

Unfortunately ladies if you are in the states their is so much infor on this but here in christchurch,New zealand pretty much nothing i mean i have looked it up on the internet but again meds a little different to here.
I have been 2 3 doctors netheir one could help me,so im living every day hoping like heck that my baby will be ok.
I have cut down to 1/2 tablet a day but due to very bad withdrawl this is the best i can do without staying in bed for weeks vomating and not being able to move.
I am going to my midwife next week so hopefully will get some help from her.
This is my 3rd child and a total surprise so doing my best to keep (him, her) safe but my mind just wont stop thinking what if its the most horrible feeling i have every had.

Also, just thought I'd add this too. Talk to your OB/GYN about all the risks and side effects of any anti-depressants or any medications really that you are considering. And the internet has many sites that you can research any medication you're considering as well.

I'm on Lexapro myself. I was on Cymbalta before I got pregnant, but I couldn't afford the prescription and my insurance wouldn't cover it, so they stuck me on Lexapro. My OB/GYN didn't really have a problem with me being on the Cymbalta because it was the best anti-depressant I'd found that would work properly for me. My personal opinion (keep in mind that everyone has different experiences with all medication) is that it sucks. My sex drive took a major hit. For the first couple of months that I was on Lexapro, I was very very tired all the time. Now that I've been on it for about 3 or 4 months, that's starting to fade away, but I still don't like the lexapro. It just doesn't seem to work as well for me, not like the Cymbalta did. I don't know for certain, but my doctors and nurses told me NOT to breastfeed while taking any type of anti-depressant, so I'm choosing to formula feed instead. Hope this helps. :)

Lexapro is usually the one they give (at least around here) while pregnant. It can have side-effects on sex drive and can cause constipation, but it's deemed safe for those who need it during pregnancy and breastfeeding (if you choose to do that).
