my hands swelled a little but my feet swelled so much it tingles when i walk on them...does anyone no y i didnt swell like this with 1st pregnancy only right before i had her

I'm nearly 38 weeks and my doctor pulled me out of work 2 weeks early due to swelling in my feet and legs. They had been swollen for weeks, but then my blood pressure started to increase as well...I am now home and resting with my feet up. Hands are swelling a little bit, but drinking LOTS of water helps that.

Always call your doctor when there's any change with swelling. Edema that early is a sign of pre-eclampsia (I had it with my son), and that can be very dangerous if you're not diagnosed right away. Call and talk to your doctor, and try to stay away from sodium until your next visit.

it can be a sign of pre-eclampsia....or that you have high blood pressure which can lead to pre-eclampsia....im on bedrest now because my pressure is too high so call your dr

Extreme swelling can be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Call your doctor as soon as possible. Sit down, put your feet up (if your on your feet a lot that can cause swelling), watch how much sodium you are taking in. If you look at sodium content on everything you buy, you will be amazed how much you are getting that you didnt realize. Cut out as much as possible. and drink LOTS of water. Not enough can lead to swelling.

i have the same problem,im only 21 weeks but my feet and legs both are swollen like balloons! i was going to call the dr.'s office, ill get back on and let you know =)

i would call your doctor. i remember reading something about extreme swelling is a sign of something bad. dont remember what tho. good luck
