Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on some cheap baby shower party favors. I already plan on making some cookies as party favors, but I am stuck from there. I do not really want to do all candy in the bags. The baby shower is running over budget and I am trying to assist the person throwing the party. Any ideas are appreciate. Thanks in advance.

I actually went to a shower where instead of gifts for the winner , the winner got to pick out a gift and give it to the Mom-to-be to open . I thought it was odd at first , but neat after I went to a shower and got little goofy thing that I just tossed in the trash , I then found I was not the only one who did that .

Tea lights or potpourri wrapped in colored cellophane or netting in pastel colors. Attach a poem about lighting the candle to celebrate the baby's birth. They also look really cute in a basket

Hi, I am not really into the whole party favor thing. I think most people are there just to support the new mom. I like having a tea party with peeps getting to choose their tea, enjoy some goodies and maybe create 3 or 4 goody bags as prizes for the games. have everyone guess her belly size with yarn, winner gets a bag. if men are invited, drink beer from a bottle , winner gets the man prize. Momma to be basket of goods, walk it around and have everyone look at it and then have them identify on paper all the items. mom gets basket, winner gets a goody bag.

If you have a target near you there is an area (usiually close to where you walk in) that has dollar deals, they have all kinds of neat little things you could find there. Our dollar store near us didn't have much, it was mostly candles and hand lotion that we had at my last baby shower.

Im not sure where you are from, but if you have a Dollar Store (or a store where everything is a dollar!) you can get coffee cups and attach little tags that have your baby's name on it and due date! If you have 30 people coming, its only 30 dollars and it is soo easy to do. Plus people really like them because they can actually USE them afterwards. Another idea- forgo the party favors. They are kind of an old tradition that most people toss (unfortunetly) when they get home. Another idea- seed packets with a little poem/baby name/due date, stuck on the front. Cute, easy, and can actually be USED rather then eaten. :) Have fun!!
