I was recently told im havin a girl at 16 weeks but on the 3d/4d real time ultrasounds it shows a boy I'm not sure what I should believe

My friend was told a girl at 20 weeks. Then at 38, they said they had been wrong and it was a boy.

Omg! We have three girls 6,8 & 10. I am now 15 weeks pregnant with my fourth child and was told we're having another girl! I hope they're wrong since it seems they're not always right!

i had 16wk scan told girl no potty shot nd 2sec glimps she said think its girl but feel its boy a have 4 girls felt same every preg but totaly dif this time no sicknes low belly curry cravings went off sweets choc nd even sex lol just feel there wrong dont no why get another scan this week 20wk so double check x

I had u/s at 20 and 28 weeks because the baby wouldn't let the u\s tech see the spine. Both techs said they were 50% sure the baby was a girl, but "don't go out and buy all pink". They were right, but my little girl spent the first 6 weeks dressed in gender nuetral and blues. I figured it was easier to put a girl on blue than a boy in pink!

With my son I was told 'he either has a third leg or it's definitely a boy'. With my second (at the first u/s) I was told 'it is harder to tell with girls'. So in 1 1/2 weeks I go back for my second u/s I guess only time will tell. It is either a girl or a boy with a really small willie lol :p

hi i havnt had it happen to me because they got both of my sexs rite 2 boys but i know sumone who was told at 20 weeks she was having a girl and she brought everything pink being her first and when she gave birth it was a boy so they can be wrong thats why i still buy netural colours even when they tell me the sex but when they told me with both they did say its not 100 percent a boy but what we can see is so dont always go with what they say unless u have a 3d or 4d that wud tell u for sure no mistake there

mix up's happen... i was told im having a boy with my first ultra sound, then i am having a girl. They now dont know for sure its 50/50 what i have... SUPRIZE its kinda fun not knowing. i know alot of people who had a all blue nursery and came home with a pink lil baby, they say that its easier to mistake you having a boy than a girl though. thumbs, fingers,toes, umbilical cord, any thing can get mistaken as penis.

Hi I am 15wks and 4 days I went to go have an ultrasound yesterday to find out the gender it took a while because it had its legs crossed but she said it was a BOY I already have a 4 yr old boy so I was hoping for the girl and did all kinds of test and it pointed to a girl is it possible for her to be wrong?

Omg I find out at 13 weeks it's a boy but took the harmony blood genetic test it reveleled girl DNA so I went back to ultrasound tech and they did it again now at 16 weeks say it's still a boy I'm confused???!!

i have not gone for my ultrasound yet due to the fact i been sick and im almost into the 2nd trimester so we have to wait till oct. 30th to find out what we are having so i hope they are not wrong but noone that i know of has ever had a wrong ultrasound they always been right.

Hello i had an early ultrasound at 16 weeks and was told a boy, now at 21 weeks had my second ultrasound and was told girl. Now i dont know what to believe, im very confused!

They told me girl at my 20 week scan, I had a 32 week scan and sure enough they were wrong! He was a boy and now at nearly 15 months old definitely still is haha

3D Ultrasound is a great way to know for sure! It is very clear, we had one done with our daughter at 30 weeks, the video from it is a greta keepsake!

They told me time and time again that my son was a girl. Obviously he was a boy. But that was 14 years ago so hopefully things have improved.

We had our 12 week ultra sound and tech said it seems to be a boy as he saw something between its legs. But, he said to wait to go and buy boy stuff as he was only 50 percent sure. My husband is certain that the tech is right, hes already calling baby by a boys name. I will laugh if it turns out to be a girl...either way i ll be happy! I will definitly wait to buy boy things after reading these postings!! Lol

Just got home from a ultra sound 16 weeks 2D scan. At first she said she thought she saw something coming from between the legs. I couldn't tell what the heck she was looking at. Then by the end of it she said she was 75% sure it's another girl which will be my 3rd but told me not to buy girl bedding. Hope she's wrong for my husbands case and for my sanity in the teenage years.

This has happened to a friend of mine... she had 3 boys.. and they told her she was having a girl..... and then she had an ultrasound like 2 weeks before the baby was born.. and they told her she was having a boy! Sad thing was.... She already had her baby shower... everything she got was all pink.. The baby's room was painted in pink as well... I guess you won't know for sure until ya push the baby out...

Hii, I had a gender scan at 16 weeks was told boy we were over the moon as we have 2 little girls and they would love a brother I left my 20 week scan heartbroken as im apparently now having a GIRL!! Im not going to piant the babys room untill after shes born and keeping eveything in yellows and whites just incase as its a very common thing... My sister was told Gril all the way through her pregancy even 20 mins before her baby was born she was told 100% girl well SUPRISE she turned out to be a he.... Goes to show theres no real way of knowing untill youve had the baby..

My ultrasound was pretty obvious. She was upside down with all exposed, so there was basically no question. I've known of a few instances where someone was told the wrong gender or that they couldn't tell, usually because the baby was consistently in a terrible position or had the cord between their legs.

With my 1st they were right, boy! With this one I've had 2 u/s and both have said boy but one can still hope that it may be a girl. LOL!

still waiting on #1 but so far here is my u/s count:
15wks - boy
17wks- boy
20wks 4D - girl but no potty good shot
24wks - girl, looked just like mommy
33wks- unable to tell
33wks (same day in hospital) - said boy then girl

The later ones are the best to go off of. My doc in the hospital said that boys are easy to tell right before birth since they get larger. I felt like it's been a boy all along but since the later ones said girl that's what we are saying. I asked for gender neutral clothes but everyone gave pink. Sure hope it's a girl.

We were told my oldest was going to be a girl. I bought all pretty pink dresses , the going home/pic outfit we brought was a cute little dress with head band..... We ended up in the gift shop buying another outfit for a boy after he was born.

with my oldest one i was told a girl and the tech was very sure...i had a little girl...with this one i was told a little girl and at each ultrasound i have them check to make sure...i'm not sure how long the tech has been doing her job but she said she has never been wrong...plus she has showed me the cord and there is nothing else there...

I've known people who have had the wrong sex told to them, we choose not to find out the gender so we don't have to worry about it. I don't have a problem waiting to buy gender specific clothes.

was told boy with my first and it was correct. second i was surprised. third i said girl before the tech could, and we were both right. this one the tech said boy, and it definitely looked like boy parts, a 'twig and berries' as the tech put it.

We have a friend that was told they were having a boy and got all boy stuff and when they went in to have him, they had a girl instead. I was told at my 21 wk ultrasound that we are having a boy and the tech was pretty sure with herself that she saw boy parts.

i know a few people that were told they were having one and come birth found out it was wrong! i am due in approx a month and was told its a boy... i hope they are right cuz i got all boy stuff! also when i saw the ultrasound she showed me the blood flow to the umbilical cord and that he still had something extra down there... so i'm pretty confident she was right about us having a boy!

I was told with my first child it was a boy at my 20 week scan,.after painting the bedroom,buying everything either blue,brown or nutural when They told me a girl after i had her,.I refused to believe she was mine,.Iv had two babys since my first and theyve stated the correct sexes and im on my fourth pregnency but were not gonna find out this time,.so surprise factor will b cool.

it really depends on what part of the baby your seeing, and how the dr says if it's a boy or girl. If they see boy parts you have a MUCH better chance of it actually being a boy. With us, we were told that we have a GOOD chance that it was a girl, but had a boy. Our dr, however, did say that he couldn't be sure of the sex and not to buy girl stuff. I think that when you have the ultrasound you want to ask how sure of the sex they are, sometimes it may seem like it's a boy or girl, but not 100% sure.

Also, the equipment does matter, if your doing a 3D or 4D ultrasound you have a better chance of being right. From what I read getting a 4D ultrasound done costs about $100, not sure if it's worth it or not, since you'll find out in a few weeks anyway!

It all depends on the view during the ultrasound and how far along you are. I have had 4 ultrasounds with my current pregnancy and at the 3rd one they told me it looked like a boy but they weren't sure because of the way the baby was lying. Well at the last US we looked several times and it is definately a girl! If you aren't able to get a good look at the doctors office try a 4d ultrasound.

Happened to my brother. His youngest daughter was supposed to be a boy. Throughout the pregnancy she was supposed to be a boy. Then she was born. They didn't even have a name picked out for her!!! They decided quickly to name her after her 2 grandmothers, Elisa Kay. No one else that I know of. All of mine were correct and on the money. 2 girls and prego with my boy (hopefully!)
