Well Im due September 9th. So as of today Im 26 weeks pregnant. Its a little girl. I already have a 2.6 year old boy. But I was wondering if anyone else who is expecting, if they were also having Braxton Hicks contractions that are painful? With my son, I had the braxton hicks contractions but they were not painful. Now Im having them with this pregnancy and they are sometimes so painful it puts me in tears.

This is my 4th pregnancy & I am due October 5th & have been getting them since I was 16 weeks. They get to the point were I actually have to breathe through them to ease the pain & just the tightness/tense feeling from them. I found the more water I drink, they will subside as they can also be a sign of dehydration.

get them also this is my second pregnancy and i was putting it down to having them so close together there will be 18 months between them, (it was planned). I have found this time i have alot of things i didn't last time. I feel presure down there from about 23 weeks, i have sciatic pain, braxton hicks are worse this time if i wear heals they are particularly bad. I wonder if that means each pregnancy will be harder then the last.

conrats on ur baby im due the 19th sept with a boy this is my 3rd pregnancy with the 1st i had no painfull contractions till labour with my 2nd the stated at 30 weeks and this time ive had them since 16 weeks they are awfull stop me dead in my track and go on for hours evens days constant contractions but not strong enough to start labour so just got to deal with them it sux my midwife told me the more pregnacies you carry the more damage to your ligaments and they will cause the contracting pains and they stretch to make room for buba so its normal which is good but painfull good luck with your new buba hope ur pain eases live in the bath if u can i try to it helps :)

Yes i'm 100% sure its braxton hicks. i will get them throughout the day and it will only last no more than a min. I do have a doctors appointment this week and it will be the first thing I bring up though to be on the safe side. Thank you for the reply.

I have a 16 month old and i didnt get braxton hicks with him at all but with this pregnancy i have been having them and they hurt to the point i cant move threw them. If you are 100% postive they are braxton hicks i wouldnt be considered but also i would talk to your doctor too if i was you because it could be a uti or bladder infection. I had two with my son and they were wicked painful and i honestly went to the er for both of them because i thought i was in labor.
